Gothenburg is one of the most important commercial, economic and cultural centers in Sweden, and the U.S. Embassy, Gothenburg Region Map with a long history of engagement with this proud city, is pleased to provide this site, especially designed to provide Gothenburg, access to programs from the U.S. Mission in Sweden.

First Hasselblad Professor named

During 2006 Chalmers and Göteborg University will start a joint centre for public learning and understanding inGöteborg. American Dr Ilan Chabay has been chosen to become the first Erna and Victor Hasselblad Professor of Public Learning and Understanding of Science, a position that he will hold jointly at the two universities.
