Mission:

The U.S. Government views the sale, export, and re-transfer of defense articles and defense services as an integral part of safeguarding U.S. national security and furthering U.S. foreign policy objectives. The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), in accordance with 22 U.S.C. 2778-2780 of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Parts 120-130), is charged with controlling the export and temporary import of defense articles and defense services covered by the United States Munitions List (USML).

New Items and Announcements

REMINDER: Effective April 16, 2009 with the implementation of D-Trade 2, all D-Trade users must use their DDTC-approved registrant/applicant name which corresponds to their DDTC registration record before an application or amendment will be accepted by the D-Trade2 system. The D-Trade2 system automatically verifies the applicant name against DDDTC's registration records and will automatically reject the application or amendment if a match is not made.

DDTC will not accept any D-Trade1 license submitted after 0001 EST on April 16. Any such licenses will be Returned without Action (RWA) with direction to resubmit via DTrade 2.

Please submit ALL NEW CASES to D-Trade2.
