Gee-Gees football springs to camp
127-year history honoured tonight at 36th Touchdown Dinner

April 18, 2008 - Josh Sacobie is 2,260 yards back of the CIS record for career passing yards and 24 touchdown passes shy of the all-time Canadian university career record as the CFL draft-eligible quarterback begins his fifth and final spring camp this weekend with the uOttawa Gee-Gees.

The registration period for all Activities begins March 31, 2008 at the Sports Services Client Services counters: Montpetit Hall, 125 University Street, PC Level; Sports Complex, 801 King Edward Avenue, Concourse Level.

The registration period for Camps begins February 11, 2008. Registration forms may be submitted by fax or by mail.

Alumnus Kevin Reed will present the uOttawa Gee-Gees men’s hockey program with a cheque for $34,000 Thursday as part of a three-year $100,000 commitment to enhance the 118-year-old interuniversity program.

Sports Services is pleased to announce that the winners of last night's NCAA Division One men's national championship game, the University of Kansas Jayhawks, will be coming to Ottawa to face the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees on Sunday August 31 at 7:00 p.m. as part of NCAA Weekend.

The uOttawa Gee-Gees men's hockey team is hoping for a first win in four tries against uOttawa's women's volleyball as the two teams will meet Wednesday for an exhibition volleyball contest for charity at Montpetit Hall.

April 5, 2008 - Power-hitting fifth-year Gee-Gees volleyball co-captain Christine Lamey made it three consecutive female athlete of the year awards and record-setting fourth-year quarterback Josh Sacobie earned male athlete of the year honours for a second time at uOttawa’s annual varsity banquet Saturday night.
