Join the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit in London on February 25-26, 2025.
About us
Accelerating Energy Efficiency and Circular Solutions for Climate-Resilient Water The World Water-Tech Innovation Summit is the premier networking event for water leaders, investors and innovators to share and showcase best practice in delivering climate-resilient, energy-efficient water systems. The summit returns to London on February 25-26, 2025, bringing together forward-thinking water utilities, regulators, engineering firms, investors and start-ups from around the world for two days of pivotal discussions, partnership building, and innovation discovery. Extreme climate events, shrinking water availability, and increasing pressure on demand continue to dominate the global water agenda, while the sector prepares for change in response to new regulations coming in 2025. From waste valorisation and decarbonisation to AI-driven solutions and the collective fight against pollutants, the event will highlight the crucial role of accelerating technology adoption to mitigate the effects of climate change on the water sector. Expect a programme packed with lively debate, project updates, and challenge-based success stories, complemented by a curated networking environment that encourages knowledge exchange and new connections through a full schedule of one-to-one meetings. New for 2025, small-group breakout sessions alongside the main stage provide a dynamic setting where participants can collaborate to alleviate key pressure points and connect with potential business allies from around the globe.

Under Pressure With World Water Day tomorrow, I reflect on the insightful conversation I had with fellow panellists at the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit last month. Water is universal and integral to everything we do, particularly in the Food & Beverage sector. We discussed fostering water resilience through responsible use, reduction of water, and reuse of wastewater. We all agreed that collaboration is crucial for impactful action, and a holistic approach is equally important, where all factors should be considered not just water (Co2 emissions, biodiversity, community …..) At Pernod Ricard, we’re working with our teams, suppliers, and local communities to reduce water consumption, replenish watersheds, preserve water quality, and comply with environmental regulations. Some of our key initiatives include: Pernod Ricard India: The WAL (Water, Agriculture and Livelihood) programme aims to foster water resilience and promote sustainable resource management while securing the livelihoods of disadvantaged communities. To date more than 150 projects have been completed. Pernod Ricard Mexico: A collaborative project led by BIER (beverage Industry and Environment Roundtable) called “Charco Bendito” in the Guadalajara basin aims to improve water availability and eliminate unsustainable water use through reforestation and restoration actions. Chivas Brothers: The River Within Initiative is committed to protecting Scotland’s waterways, essential to whisky-making. In partnership with local river trusts, projects will enhance biodiversity, stabilize riverbanks, and mitigate rising water temperatures through interventions such as tree planting. These efforts safeguard whisky’s future by preserving the delicate balance of Scotland’s ecosystems. MVR (Mechanical Vapour Recompression): We've been deploying new technology in distilleries that helps recover heat, saving energy, and reducing the need for cooling water in the distillation process. I’m also proud to work with the Paul Ricard Oceanographic Institute (IOPR): which has been watching over the Mediterranean, restoring ecosystems, monitoring biodiversity, and creating nature-based solutions to protect the ocean since 1966. #WorldWaterDay Fellow panellists: Desirée Marín Francesca O'Hanlon, PhD (Coca Cola), Sian Chapman (Nestle) Andreas Kirketerp (Carlsberg) and our moderator Lydia Whyatt

A few weeks ago, our CEO, Suhayl Zulfiquar, took the stage at World Water-Tech to join fellow water industry colleagues for a panel discussion on smart systems combatting water scarcity. To kick the conversation off, Fredrick Royan, the panel moderator, asked how vendors shape solutions to adapt to policies and the regulatory environment. 🖱️ Click through the slides to see what Suhayl had to say! #WorldWaterTech #utilities #watersector #watertech #digitalwater
