No matter our age, we all bring something valuable to the table. That’s why a multigenerational workforce isn’t just beneficial – it’s essential. From fresh perspectives to deep industry knowledge, the variety of experience across age groups strengthens teams, improves problem-solving, and drives better business outcomes. But despite the clear value, age preference remains a challenge in many workplaces. A recent survey by MyPerfectResume found that nearly all workers aged 40 and over believe age preference exists in the workplace, with 9 in 10 feeling pressured to hide their age or downplay their experience to fit in. 👉 Full article: https://lnkd.in/gYwjJ7WH This kind of environment not only affects individual confidence, it limits collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team performance. When businesses foster an age-accessible culture, the benefits are clear: - Teams make more informed, balanced decisions - Skills and knowledge are passed on more effectively - Employees feel seen, supported, and more likely to stay - Organisations are better prepared to adapt to changing demands - Age accessible cultures should be recognised as a business asset, not a barrier. Creating space for every generation to thrive is key to building resilient, high-performing teams. #MultigenerationalWorkforce #EmployeeEngagement #InclusionAtWork #AgeVariety #FutureOfWork

April is #StressAwarenessMonth - a timely reminder to pause, take a breath and prioritise wellbeing. According to HR News, 45% of the UK workforce is experiencing high levels of stress, costing professional services firms millions each year in reduced productivity, absenteeism, and turnover. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eFcVffzU A recent study by LIMRA and Life Happens found that 74% of insurance professionals report feeling burned out, driven by increased workloads, rising client expectations, and industry-wide transformation. Supporting employee wellbeing isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a business-critical priority. Here are a few evidence-based techniques that can support stress management in the workplace: - Laughter Yoga: Boosts morale and releases tension through movement and play. - Meditation: Helps improve focus and emotional regulation in just a few minutes a day. - Breathing Exercises: A quick, effective tool for regaining calm in high-pressure moments. - Physical Movement: Short, regular breaks for movement can reduce fatigue and increase productivity. Investing in wellbeing leads to healthier teams, stronger performance, and a more resilient organisation. #StressAwarenessMonth #WorkplaceWellbeing #InsuranceSector #MentalHealthAtWork #EmployeeBurnout #CorporateWellbeing

Although Women’s History month is ending, we must continue to reflect on the work that still needs to be done to close the gender gap in the workplace 👬 According to the Women In Work Report 2025 by the PwC, female full-time employment in the UK is 68.9% which is below the average of 78.1%. If this continues it will lengthen the journey to equal pay. Highlighting the importance of companies properly supporting women in the workplace. This issue was discussed at the #DiveIn2024 event, ‘Success succeeds – female leaders sharing their stories.’ The panellists discussed why this conversation is still relevant, and that ‘there is still room for more female leadership,’ and the importance of female empowerment in the workplace. 🙌 Access the event on Dive In Festival’s YouTube Channel: https://lnkd.in/e_jtzz-v #Inclusion #WomensHistoryMonth #GenderEquality

This week was Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🌠 New research from City & Guilds reveals that nearly 1 in 3 neurodiverse employees feel unsupported at work and that over a third of neurodivergent employees received no onboarding support. You can find out more about the research here: 📰 https://lnkd.in/egjee9GR This year’s Dive In Festival theme, ‘Belonging Builds Tomorrow’, emphasises the importance of fostering a workplace culture where every individual feels accepted, respected and included. 👏 To tackle the issues highlighted in this research, companies must take proactive steps – such as improving onboarding processes, offering tailored support, providing neurodiversity training for leaders, and ensuring accessible environments. By prioritising belonging, employers can create spaces where neurodivergent employees are not only supported but empowered to thrive. 🌟 #NeuroInclusive #WorkplaceInclusion #NeurodiversityAwareness
