Data Scientist

I am recruiting for a Data Scientist for an exciting multi national business.

As a Data Scientist, you’ll be at the heart of data-driven decision-making. You’ll help build and maintain scalable data pipelines, design predictive models, and turn complex datasets into meaningful insights for the business. This role offers a balance of technical depth, creative problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Build and deploy predictive models using statistical methods and ML algorithms.
• Ensure high data quality through validation, monitoring, and automated checks.
• Translate business needs into clear analytical approaches and solutions.
• Communicate results and insights via dashboards, reports, and presentations.
• Spearhead data experiments like A/B tests to guide strategic choices.
• Present findings using clear and compelling visualisations in Power BI or Python-based libraries.
• Seek out new ways to use data to enhance services, processes, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute within an Agile framework, offering input on timelines and mentoring teammates on data best practices.
  
  

Essential Key Experience

• PhD, MSc or equivalent in data science, physics or a similar STEM subject.
• 2+ years of experience in a Data Science or similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
• familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and MLOps principles.
• Great communication skills both verbally and written.
  
  

The role is offering a salary of up to £50,000 per annum and comes with a wealth of benefits including a hybrid working schedule within their offices in Blackburn.
