This Chief Risk Officer position (CRO) is a leadership role and is mission-critical to the further success of Coforge. The CRO will play a pivotal multifaceted role that extends beyond traditional risk management in safeguarding the organization's assets, reputation, development, and long-term sustainability. The CRO will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the global enterprise-wide risk management strategy.


This will involve:

  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across financial, operational, strategic, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity/information security, and emerging dimensions through deep expertise across these domains.
  • Providing strategic guidance and insights to senior management, CEO, and the Board of Directors on risk appetite, tolerance, and emerging threats.
  • Fostering a strong risk-aware culture across the organization, embedding risk management principles into all business decisions.
  • Design and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and architectures that integrate multiple teams and functions
  • Ensuring the organization's stability, resilience, and long-term success by proactively addressing and mitigating risks.


Role Competencies:

  • Proven experience in addressing diverse aspects of risk management, ensuring robust organizational preparedness and adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Demonstrate big-picture thinking with the ability to communicate complex risk concepts effectively across all levels of the organization, including the Board of Management.
  • Successfully led and supported strategic business transformation projects, ensuring alignment with risk management goals.
  • Skilled in utilizing advanced analytics and risk modelling tools to monitor risk exposure, predict vulnerabilities, and inform proactive mitigation strategies.
  • A problem-solving mindset with strong organizational and project management skills, fostering cross-functional collaboration and seamless project execution.
  • Experienced in conducting stress testing and simulation exercises to evaluate organizational resilience under various adverse scenarios.


Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Identify, assess, and prioritize organizational risks across all areas, including but not limited to financial, operational, strategic, reputational, compliance, technological & cybersecurity risk.

Advise senior management on risk-related matters and provide strategic guidance on risk appetite and tolerance.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report on risk exposures to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing risk management team.
  • Foster a strong risk management culture throughout the organization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging risks and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and legal counsel.


Educational Requirements: Professional Graduate Degree with preferably an Advanced Specialization.
