Does this sound familiar? According to Gallup 76% of individuals state that they felt burnt out at work some of the time and 28% feel burnout often or always. When energy levels are good, we can start taking on more things, and often don't realise we are taking on too much and overcommit. We can then eventually feel overwhelmed and stressed - we're burning out. We may then begin to withdraw, feeling as though we have no energy for anyone or anything. We may then feel stuck, or do something that temporarily makes us feel better and the cycle begins again.
