Stronger and Safer Together
About us
Working Well Together (WWT) was set up in 1998 by the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC) which recognised the construction industry itself needed to do more to improve its health and safety performance – particularly among the smaller construction businesses. WWT was set up as a joint industry/HSE initiative to help do this and this is reflected in our motto - ‘help from the industry for the industry’. WWT provides relevant health and safety messages and information to the workforce directly through a number of ways such as the WWT White Van Tours/Roadshows that visit building sites within a given area, allowing the workers to receive these messages and information without having leaving their site. Other means include our literature such as; · The ‘High 5’ leaflet outlining the five main causes of problems on sites and the WWT pocket book. · The WWT Pocket Book ‘The absolutely essential health and safety toolkit for the smaller construction contractor.

Excellent day today at the CITB Skills & Training Conference!! A big thank you to PCR Global Limited's Emma Wilkinson (stepping in short notice and travelling down from sunny Doncaster!) who delivered a great talk on Site Safety, Health and Fire Safety, from the perspective of a HSE Inspector visiting site. Also, thank you to those from Working Well Together- South Wales who attended... taking time out of busy schedules to promote all the good the group is doing. It was great turn out ... excellent to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new and interesting people. There's been some big changes to the funding provisions of late, not least the full launch of the "EN" Employer Network, and it was great to listen to so much positive feedback. No doubt, there are bigger challenges ahead BUT good to see the Senior Team at CITB (National and Wales) are aware - and getting innovative!
