Thank you to everyone who came along to our recent open day for Scotland's Gardens Scheme . It was such a lovely day, no one wanted to leave. The cafe and castle tours did a roaring trade enabling us to make healthy donations to both Scotland's Gardens Scheme and East Lothian Foodbank

A hectic day out of the office yesterday for Johanne Falconer and I, first of all zipping over to the Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts hotel in North Berwick for a busy morning attending the East Lothian Council , ‘talks tourism conference’. We certainly had a room with a view in their splendid conference facility. Then a quick dash into town for the Scottish PA Network showcase at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh where we met up with lots of fellow #eventprofs and lots of existing and hopefully new clients 🤞. Thank you Rosemary McLennan for your usual efficient organisation and welcome. Now onto the weekend and our annual open day …….🌷💐

In advance of our open day this weekend, we were thrilled to be featured in the March issue of Scottish Field Magazine and they have kindly given permission for us to share their article here. The daffodils are looking splendid so we do hope you will come along and help us raise funds for Scotland's Gardens Scheme and East Lothian Foodbank https://lnkd.in/eNseq6ht

Our annual open day for Scotland's Gardens Scheme takes place this year on 30th March. We will also raise funds for East Lothian Foodbank on that day. It's Mother's day, start of European Summer Time... an ideal day to get out in the fresh air, enjoy the grounds and gardens then grab a coffee and cake and maybe delve into the history of Winton Castle. Come and see us. https://lnkd.in/dCuuN4uq

Every success to you for 2025. Delighted that Winton was able to kick start your new season. We are huge fans of The Real Mary King's Close 👏👏👏
A new season, a fresh perspective, and a team ready to deliver! 🚀 At The Real Mary King’s Close, we know that starting strong is key to making the year ahead a success. That’s why our Management Team took time away from the Close to head to Winton Castle for a day of strategy, collaboration, and a little bit of friendly competition. Winton’s stunning setting, seamless IT, and warm hospitality made it the perfect space to step back from the everyday and focus on the bigger picture. Just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, yet remote enough to feel like a true getaway, it gave us the clarity and energy we needed to kick off the 2025 season with purpose. And what a day it was! We: ✔️ Aligned on clear business objectives for the year ahead ✔️ Introduced our refreshed warm welcome approach ✔️ Explored Winton’s beautiful new spaces ✔️ Put our aim to the test with axe-throwing 🪓 ✔️ Took on a fast-paced scavenger hunt A huge thank you to Winton Castle for hosting us—it was the perfect backdrop for a day of focus, connection, and fun. Now, we’re ready to bring our very best to every visitor who steps into the Close this season. 2025, we’re coming for you! #MaryKingsClose #SeasonLaunch #Leadership #WintonCastle #Teamwork #Edinburgh cc Katie Scott Megan Sherdley Kayleigh Day Paul Nixon

Thank you for bringing your team back to Winton. Delighted that you had a really productive day.🙏
5️⃣ 4️⃣ 3️⃣ 2️⃣ 1️⃣ - Launching a new season is critical—get it right! set the tone for success; get it wrong, and it can feel like wading through treacle all year! Yesterday, I returned to my old hunting grounds at Winton Castle with The Real Mary King's Close Management Team to kick off our 2025 season—and to check out their stunning Potting Shed. WOW. Just WOW! From the signature Winton warm welcome to seamless IT (with significantly improved WiFi since I was last there!), and a delicious working lunch, everything was perfectly in place for a productive day. We struck the ideal balance of work and motivation, finding a space that was close to Edinburgh (within 30 minutes) yet remote enough to disconnect from the city buzz and focus on what matters. And the team? They nailed it. 🔨 ✔️ Set clear business objectives for the year ahead ✔️ Launched our refreshed warm welcome approach ✔️ Explored Winton’s new rooms ✔️ Threw some axes (yes, really!) ✔️ Competed in a high-energy scavenger hunt A fantastic, rewarding, and high-impact day. Bring on the 2025 season!

In the aftermath of Storm Eowyn, we were delighted to welcome global VIP clients from Rocco Forte Hotels hosted by the The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel. Saturday still posed challenging circumstances but we managed to provide Scottish hospitality for a great group of #eventprofs. Haste ye back
