Have a read: 💡 Mission Therapeutics Receives $5.2M Funding: Mission Therapeutics has been awarded $5.2 million by The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and Parkinson's UK to advance its potential disease-modifying treatment, MTX325. This funding supports the investigation of MTX325 in early-stage Parkinson's disease, with promising early data showing a good safety profile and CNS penetration. 💡 FDA Approval of ONAPGO™ (apomorphine HCl): The FDA has approved Onapgo, an under-the-skin infusion device delivering apomorphine hydrochloride to reduce "off" episodes in Parkinson's disease. This treatment provides continuous relief, significantly reducing motor symptoms like tremors. 💡 HER-096 Clinical Trial: Parkinson's UK is investing in a trial of HER-096, a potential treatment based on the growth factor CDNF. This drug aims to protect and restore brain cells affected by Parkinson's, offering new hope for growth factor-based treatments. The trial is underway in Finland. 💡 AskBio Inc.'s Gene Therapy Trial: AskBio has initiated a Phase II clinical trial for AB-1005, a gene therapy designed to deliver GDNF to patients with moderate-stage Parkinson's disease. This trial evaluates the safety and efficacy of AB-1005, marking significant progress in neurorestorative therapies. 💡 Lixisenatide and Dapansutrile Trials: Cure Parkinson's is supporting clinical trials for lixisenatide and dapansutrile. Lixisenatide has shown promise in slowing motor symptom progression, while dapansutrile aims to reduce brain inflammation to slow disease progression.
