Viva! is a vegan campaigning charity that is dedicated to creating a kinder world. For the last 30 years, we have been positively raising awareness about animals in industrial agriculture as well as promoting the environmental and health benefits of veganism. What We Do: Viva! Planet – As climate change continues to worsen, we research how animal agriculture is the leading cause of environmental collapse and present veganism as an immediate solution. Our 50by25 campaign invites restaurants to lower their environmental impact through balancing their menus to offer 50% plant based food. Viva! Health – Our dedicated health team assess the impact of consuming animal products on the human body and investigate how a vegan diet can improve public health, prevent disease and support immunity. We provide credible advice on how to live the healthiest lifestyle possible. Viva! Animals – We reveal the truth behind industrial animal agriculture. We compile evidence from our undercover investigations, create compelling campaigns to raise public awareness and help save as many animals from the injustice of our food system. Viva! Lifestyle – We help people discover plant based foods and support them in creating their own through our extensive recipe site, socials and app; Vegan Recipe Club (200k active users) as well as our Viva! Vegan Festivals. Vegan Recipe Club – Along with our extensive recipe platform, Vegan Recipe Club partners with restaurants and catering companies to help them offer quality vegan options. Vegan outreach in Reading this weekend - thank you to everyone involved! 🙌 🌱 Outreach host Jo said: "We had a super busy event today and we had loads of great conversations with people about the reality of animal agriculture. A lot of people were shocked to learn what animals are forced to go through in these industries - so much cruelty that’s legal and routine, but completely hidden from view." "Our free vegan chocolate, cheese, and plant-based milk samples went down a treat, and the quiz was a hit again - always a great way to get people thinking and chatting." Thank you everyone! 💚

One of the reasons I agreed to become patron of Viva! many decades ago was because of the inspirational work Juliet and her team do. They never give up spirit campaigning for those with no voice have helped inspire me to keep going in the hope that the public will one-day wake up and see what’s going on… Viva! are making history with the first-ever anti-dairy cinema ad in over 300 cinemas nationwide. 1 million cinemagoers will see the hidden cruelty behind every glass of milk we drink. It is time we opened our eyes to the realities of the dairy industry. Yes, it isn't comfortable to watch, but that makes it even more important that we sit up and listen. See it for yourself. Thank you Viva! for providing this video for me to share, the impact is already clear - the 'happy' dairy industry is a myth and we need to realise this sooner rather than later.

👀 Bacon and asbestos are both Group 1 carcinogens according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). 🥓 Every daily 50-gram portion of bacon (two small rashers) increases your risk of bowel cancer by about 18 per cent according to the WHO. A huge win for the animals! 🐷 🐔 The proposed megafarm would have had the capacity to hold 714,000 chickens and 14,000 pigs 👎 The planning permission was refused after they received MASSIVE public opposition (over 15,000 complaints!) over environmental and animal welfare concerns. It goes to show that online activism DOES make a difference! 🙏
