A critical care specialist and experienced leader, Professor Guha has helped shape medical education at The University of Liverpool and The University of Chester and held senior NHS and international roles. We recently held a Reconstruction of Facial Defects with Local Skin Flaps course at the University of Greater Manchester Medical School. Trainees, ANPs and GPs with an interest in Plastics, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Dermatology gained invaluable hands-on experience in facial soft tissue surgery. Led by expert faculty, Geoff Chiu and Mr Andrew Goodall, the course covered essential techniques in wound healing, flap design, and reconstructive surgery — receiving fantastic feedback from participants: 💬 "Fantastic course. We were proud to host the highly esteemed European Trauma Course (ETC), welcoming healthcare professionals across the UK for an intensive, simulation-based programme to improve and refine trauma management skills. With 85% of the course delivered through realistic simulations, candidates developed critical expertise in managing trauma scenarios, from airway emergencies to spinal injuries. Last week, we reached an exciting milestone as we conducted our first online Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) for prospective students applying to our MBChB Medicine Programme for the 2025 cohort. 🩺 During our MMIs, candidates were assessed across 8 stations designed to evaluate attributes essential for a career in medicine. It was a pleasure to meet such talented and enthusiastic candidates who could soon be joining our MBChB Medicine programme. We are looking forward to extending our first offers for the 2025 cohort soon.
