Spent some time in San Francisco last week with the brilliant London & Partners Grow London team - Penny Harwood, Anna Carson-Parker, Vanessa Romer, Kyle Dewees, Francisco de Borja Palma Huarte, along with a truly excellent group of delegates - all interested in exploring why and how to grow into the US 🚀 Monday saw a discussion about all things hiring and talent in the US with some brilliant leaders in their fields - Amy Covey & Cara Brennan Allamano, and some engaging and thought-provoking questions from the delegates. Diving into the costs of hiring and how to competitively compensate hires in the US, building a culture across all a globally diverse team, and market entry from a talent and employment standpoint. Tuesday - L&P/GLG joined forces with GBx & Entrepreneurs First for a brilliant discussion between Sam Chaudhary & Alice Bentinck. Yesterday, our team came together for an action-packed Sales Day, themed around the Home Counties, with everyone representing where they grew up—all in support of our Director, Hannah Alderson, as she prepares to take on the London Marathon for her hometown charity, Nottinghamshire Hospice. The day was filled with competitions designed to drive sales activity, alongside a mix of fundraising challenges, including a scavenger hunt, a raffle, and plenty of sweet treats. And, of course, no twentyAI event would be complete without a bit of friendly payback—our team had the chance to bid to pie each other in the face (all in the name of charity, of course!). From Salesforce to Silicon Valley: San Francisco, we have arrived! 🌉   Our #ConsumerTech & #NextGen trade mission to the US West Coast is in full swing! The past few days in San Francisco have been packed with high-impact pitches, fireside chats with industry leaders, and invaluable connections for our 16 scaleups. Here’s a recap of the action so far:   🏢 We kicked things off at the Salesforce Tower, with breathtaking views of the Bay Area from the 61st floor! Here we gained market insights from Mark Chandler (City and County of San Francisco), and met the Salesforce team -Zak Kokosa, Margaret Taylor and Mark Oliver, before our companies pitched and toured the Ohana Floor.   💡Next stop: Silicon Foundry, where CEO Neal Hansch welcomed us before deep dives with  The Coca-Cola Company and Procter & Gamble. Rapid-fire pitches followed, along with an inspiring fireside chat with SHAKTI and Cuyana, as Keval Desai & Karla Gallardo shared their journey of resilience and scaling success.   📈 At NFX, we got exclusive insights from Pete Flint before diving into more company pitches. To wrap up the day, we tapped into the experts Cara Brennan Allamano (Lattice); Amy Covey (dcdx ex Amazon), and twentyAI's, Robynne McPadden on talent, culture, and hiring — vital tips for scaling!   🚌 Onto Day 2: We started the morning at Andreessen Horowitz, connecting with James da Costa, before venturing deep into the Valley to Lobby Capital where we met Founder, David Hornik.
