🔧🏗️ Skills for a stronger future. The Government’s announcement of a renewed investment into construction training is a welcome and timely move – and one we at Travis Perkins fully support. Our Director of Learning & Development, Andy Rayner, has spoken on the decision, saying: “It’s encouraging to see the Government recognising the importance of skilled trades in delivering the UK’s housing ambitions... Equipping the next generation with the right tools, training, and opportunities will help address critical gaps in the workforce, strengthen the supply chain, and support the industry in meeting ambitious build targets with greater confidence and resilience.” With a national goal of building 1.5 million new homes, tackling the ongoing skills shortage is not just essential – it’s urgent. We’re committed to doing our part, working with industry partners to support training, recruitment, and long-term careers in construction. 👷♂️ Let’s build the workforce the future needs. 🌱 Supporting Our Local Communities! 🌱 That’s why we are proud to support Great and Little Shelford Primary School by donating materials to help build two raised beds for their growing garden. This initiative, in collaboration with Cultivating Change Charity, is all about encouraging children to get outside, learn about nature, and experience the wellbeing benefits of gardening. As Cultivating Change founder Sally Nye puts it: “It’s fantastic to have the Cambridge branch of Travis Perkins supporting us by supplying the materials for the school growing garden. With their help, we can get the children outside in nature: growing, learning and understanding how good gardening is for their mental and physical health.” We’re delighted to play a small part in helping the next generation grow - both in the garden and beyond! 🌿💚

In February last year we launched our partnership with Travis Perkins, and we’re delighted to share that they have raised over £114,000 - an incredible total that will make a real difference for people affected by dementia. Over the last year Travis Perkins colleagues have been fundraising in branch and got involved in the Forget Me Not Appeal and Elf Day. They’ve also taken on incredible challenges including the Three Peaks Challenge and the London Marathon, as well as organising their own events like golf days and darts nights across the country. We’ve been blown away by their commitment to helping to end the devastation caused by dementia. We can’t wait to see what the next year has in store! Thank you Travis Perkins 💙

We’re incredibly proud to share that we have raised over £114,000 for the Alzheimer's Society in 2024! 💙 This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our colleagues, customers, and partners, who went above and beyond to support this important cause. Every pound raised helps fund life-changing research and support for those affected by dementia. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved - your efforts are truly making a difference!

We’re proud to have passed the Timber Development UK Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP) Audit ✅ - reinforcing our commitment to responsible timber sourcing and supply chain transparency. 🪵"Our goal is to ensure all timber is sourced responsibly, legally and without causing deforestation", says Debbie Mertens, Responsible Sourcing & Quality Assurance Manager at Travis Perkins. "Passing this audit in our first year proves the strength of our due diligence." Timber Development UK said: "This achievement highlights Travis Perkins’ commitment to meeting UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) requirements and ensuring robust supply chain management." As one of the first businesses to adopt timber chain of custody certification, we continue to lead in sustainability. We’re also investing in specialist training with TDUK so our teams can provide expert guidance on responsible timber sourcing. Thank you to TDUK and our dedicated teams!
