UNLOCKING POTENTIAL 🧠 In tech, innovation thrives on diverse thinking. Embracing neurodiversity unlocks unique problem-solving skills and fresh perspectives that drive us forward 🚘 However, barriers to inclusion still exist. That’s why for Neurodiversity Celebration Week, our "Amazing Minds" ERG hosted a discussion on creating environments where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. As a company that values being Confidently Collaborative, we know that true innovation happens when every mind is welcomed and empowered to contribute. It’s time to move beyond awareness and take action toward building inclusive workplaces where all can thrive ✨ #NeurodiversityAtWork

Toyota Connected Europe reposted this
I debated whether to post this, but after so many really touching conversations, I figured, why not? At Toyota Connected Europe, we marked International Women's Day with an ‘Unfiltered’ fireside chat, and unfiltered it was. My role was to facilitate (which, if I do say so myself, I'm pretty good at), so I wasn’t expecting to be asked a question 😅 "Have you ever had an experience where your identity as a woman of colour, or your cultural background created additional challenges?" The answer, unfortunately, was yes. I was raised Muslim, and when I first moved to London, I still wore the hijab. Fresh to the country and job market, I attended a ton of interviews where I’d barely get 10 minutes before they wrapped things up. I knew I had the experience, and on paper, I was the perfect fit but I also knew the look I got when I walked in the door—let’s just say it wasn’t one of openness. So, for a variety of reasons (though these experiences played a part), I eventually made the decision to remove my hijab. I don’t regret it, but at the time, I felt like I had to conform to fit in. & whether it was a coincidence or not, the next interview I attended (without it), I got the job. So, with actual tears in my eyes, I shared this story with my colleagues. Crying at work? What a cliché. But if we really want to #AccelerateAction, we have to be willing to have the uncomfortable conversations. So, my takeaway? Inclusion isn’t just about policies or pledges—it’s about creating spaces where people don’t feel like they have to shrink or change to belong. It’s about who gets a fair shot, whose differences are truly embraced, and whether the doors we open, stay open for everyone 🙏 #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #Belonging

UNFILTERED 🚺 For International Women’s Day, our "Her Voice" ERG hosted a fireside chat that sparked the kind of conversations we need more of. Our incredible panel — Satinder Dale, Simran Khasriya, Aimée Le Couteur, Claudia Wei, Linda French, along with ally Siva Prabu Sankar and host Aaliah Jacksi — shared their experiences on navigating male-dominated spaces, advocating for themselves and others, and the role of allies in driving real change. A huge thank you to our panel for their honesty, to everyone who attended, and to those who continue to push for conversations that lead to action. These discussions don’t end with IWD — "Her Voice" is here to keep them going 🚀 What’s one thing you’re doing to champion women in your workplace? #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #WomenAtToyota

EMPLOYEE STORIES ft Paul Higgs ✨ 1️⃣ What's your role at TCEU and what do you enjoy most about it? I'm the Talent Lead at Toyota Connected, responsible for Resource Planning, Talent Attraction, and Onboarding for all hires. I genuinely enjoy every part of my role, especially being the first point of contact for new team members! 2️⃣ What’s something unique about the culture at TCEU that stands out to you? Having worked at various businesses and hired for many more, I've seen the good, the bad, and everything in between. I truly believe in the culture we've built at TCEU, with inclusivity being the real standout. 3️⃣ What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone interested in a similar opportunity? This is a tough one since many things can make someone stand out. A good starting point is aligning with the company values, but if I had to choose one key trait, it would be the ability and willingness to learn and keep improving.

DATA PROTECTION DAY 🔒 Today, on #DataProtectionDay, we’re highlighting the importance of responsible data handling and privacy. Our DPO, Linda French shares a few key reminders: ✨ Know Your Data – Understand what personal data you collect, process, and store. ✨ Minimise Where Possible – Only keep data that’s necessary and dispose of what’s no longer needed. ✨ Be Transparent – Clear communication about how data is used builds trust. ✨ Make It Easy – Ensure you’re upholding people’s rights by making it easy for them to control their data. ✨Embed Privacy by Design – Consider data protection at every stage of a project, not just as an afterthought. At TCEU, protecting personal data isn’t just a legal requirement—it’s part of how we build trust and innovate responsibly 🚀 #DataPrivacy #PrivacyMatters #DataProtection
