The science of sustainable performance: Less can truly be more. Studies demonstrate that stress and mental burden significantly reduce executive function and decision-making capacity. Practising self-compassion during challenging periods is good for well—being; it preserves mental health, enhances long-term performance, and ultimately helps you make decisions that contribute to positive (rewarding) outcomes. This evidence-based approach offers a more sustainable path to both personal well-being and meaningful achievement in all areas of life. #WorkplaceWellbeing #PerformanceScience #LeadershipInsights #MentalHealthAtWork Reference: Molins, F., Ben Hassen, N., & Serrano, M. At thymia we believe in the power of inspiration. This International Women's Day, March 8th, we asked our team members at thymia to reflect on the women who have inspired their journeys. 🌍 The stories we heard were powerful reminders of how women's influence shapes our lives, careers and worldviews in profound ways. From family members who showed extraordinary resilience to pioneering figures who challenged boundaries, these inspirations continue to guide our team member's work, values and passions. Take this moment to reflect on the women who have shaped your own story. Who taught you resilience? Who showed you compassion? Who pushed you to reach higher? These connections remind us of our shared humanity and the strength we draw from one another. 🌟 #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay #WomenWhoInspire #thymia

Optimising mental well-being at work isn't merely about managing workload—it's about aligning our workday with our cognitive architecture and psychological needs. Our cognitive patterns naturally flow through periods of focused intensity and creative wandering. By structuring our workday to honour these rhythms, we unlock both enhanced mental resilience and sustainable performance. Key insights: 🔹 Deep work sessions tap into our brain's natural capacity for sustained focus. 🔹 Strategic task scheduling reduces cognitive load and mental fatigue. 🔹 Intentional 'unfocused' periods foster innovation and mental recovery. The future of workplace mental health lies in this intelligent integration of human psychology and work design—creating environments where both minds and innovation flourish. #WorkplaceMentalHealth #MentalHealthInnovation #WorkplaceWellness Reference: Boyes, A.
