  • Announcing our Speakers for the ‘From Aspiration to Action: Women Shaping Pharmacy’ webinar 📣 These are the Women Shaping Pharmacy: Abena Aboagye Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Maidenhead PCN, Founder of Sunday Evening, the podcast and a Panel Host. Kiran Suain A Pharmaceutical Industry Pharmacist who works as a Study Optimisation Manager. Focused on delivering clinical trials to patients on a global scale. Sherifat (OPE) Salau A highly experienced pharmacist currently completing an Independent Prescribing qualification specialising in asthma. She is currently working as the Band 8a Advanced Pharmacist specialising in Acute Medicine and Emergency Care, where she plays a key role in optimising patient care and medication safety. Her diverse background spans the NHS and GP sector in the UK, with experience across hospitals, prisons, mental health facilities, community, and airport pharmacies. She is an international keynote speaker on pharmacy-related issues and recently spoke at Pharmadays in Geneva about pharmacy-led patient transfer of care. Following her presentation, she was headhunted to join a healthcare startup focused on improving patient care and the transfer of care. Additionally, she is a UN Women UK Delegate for CSW69, advocating for gender equality and global health initiatives. Aliya Türk She began her journey with the BPSA in 2009, where she was awarded the Reckitt Benckiser Student of the Year Award. She later joined the executive team as a Graduate Officer. Over the years, she has gained experience working in eight different hospitals, spanning secondary care, tertiary care, primary care, and now, the government sector. Currently, she serves as the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer's Clinical Fellow.   • 🌿 With the British Pharmaceutical Students' Association Spring Pennine Area Conference Tomorrow, come learn more about the program for the day, and the range of speakers who will be present!😊 ✨We have 3 speakers who are specialised in their respective fields to come give their insight, tips, presentation and advice for all pharmacy students when it comes to herbal medicines and ayurvedic practice. 👨🏫 We have Suresh Mohankumar from Swansea University to talk about herbal medicines as well as the pharmacology behind them. Giving a whistle stop guide of herbal practice, necessary for all pharmacy students! 🌱💊. 🌍 We also have Meghna Mistry to talk about being a pharmacist and incorporating your knowledge of herbal medicines into your every day practice. Our Pennine Area Coordinator, Shafaan Hamid is privileged to host the BPSA’s competition workshop on herbal medicines which will be happening later on in the day.
