April is Stress Awareness Month! Those who work in education have higher than average rates of work-related stress, depression and anxiety. Make April the month you make it routine to prevent stress and support mental health at work by completing the five steps of the 'Working Minds' campaign: - reach out and have conversations - recognise the signs and causes of stress - respond to any risks identified by agreeing action points - reflect on the actions taken – have things improved? - make it routine to check back in on how things are going Preventing work-related stress, depression and anxiety is a legal duty. By being proactive, you can improve productivity, reduce sickness absence and help retain valued workers. About us
The Trust Network was established in 2014 to provide its members with an opportunity to share best practice, exchange knowledge and, where needed, form a single voice to discuss issues or concerns with the Department for Education and other national agencies. It exists to provide members with opportunities to explore how to develop effective, efficient and economically sustainable systems that maintain and develop building estates that enhance teaching and learning. The Trust Network is independently run and managed by its members for its members.

We brought the TTN National School Estates Conference 2025 to a close with a panel discussion on ‘What does effective look like for estates?’ Thank you to all of our panellists - and to all of those who asked questions and stimulated an important and informative debate to close the day. Panellists were ask to leave delegates with ‘one big thing’ to think on 👇 ⭐️ Biodiversity and outdoor space ⭐️ Understanding what our children want nationally from estates. ⭐️ The ability to develop a digital data set that informs our decisions. ⭐️ The huge step forward of competency framework - you don’t know what you don’t know until you work it out. ⭐️ Remind yourself why a decision has been made on the design of a building and can you embrace it? ⭐️ Share your feedback, your examples and your evidence. #TTNConference2025 #SchoolEstates #TheTrustNetwork

As David Fugurally announced during his Department for Education update at today's conference, the School Estate Management Standards have today been officially published. The standards set out practices and processes required to effectively manage the school estate. Their release is perfectly timed with today’s discussions around strategy, sustainability, and skills – helping us all build more resilient and well-managed school estates. Today’s opening welcome from James Miller, National Director of Sustainability and Infrastructure at Ormiston Academies Trust and Trust Network Coordinator, set the stage for an inspiring event. We kicked things off with a message from Stephen Morgan MP emphasising the importance of school estates teams and a “collaborative approach” to raise standards across the board. We also heard from David Fugurally, DfE Head of Estate Management, Standards, Competencies and Skills who shared insights from the Department for Education. #TTNConference2025 #DfE #SchoolEstates
