Sonoco has rebranded its European metal packaging business, formerly Eviosys, to Sonoco Metal Packaging EMEA. This strategic move has significantly boosted Sonoco's presence in the EMEA region, elevating its share from 14% to over 40% of the company's worldwide sales. The acquisition of Eviosys solidifies Sonoco's position as a key player in the European packaging sector, complementing its established leadership in metal packaging in the United States. Howard Coker, President and CEO of Sonoco, emphasised the company's enhanced global standing in metal packaging, stating, "By combining our EMEA expertise with our existing footprint, we have now emerged as a leading global player in the industry." United Breweries Ltd., part of the The HEINEKEN Company Group, is aiming to stay ahead of the pack in the increasingly crowded Indian beer market by appealing to Gen Z consumers thanks to its collaboration with CANPACK Group. Novelis Korea thinks so – Novelis Korea recently revealed the results of a survey indicating that 57.4% of 1,012 participants were unaware that aluminium cans can be endlessly recycled. Ball Corporation has announced the closing of a 49:51 joint venture with Ayna.AI (Ayna), a leading strategic advisory and implementation firm in the industrial technology space. The newly formed joint venture will be named Oasis Venture Holdings, LLC, and will consist of the Aluminium Cup business, including its commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams and the plant in Rome, Georgia, which will serve as the venture’s new headquarters. "We believe that partnering with Ayna, with its deep expertise and experience in this space, is the natural next step in our transformation as we continue to bring best-in-class innovative products to our customers," Jay Billings, Ball Corp.
