Are you noticing the impact of alcohol on your life? Today we launch the findings of our research study with BIT exploring the drinking habits of UK adults. This report is a wake-up call. It shows that the negative impact of alcohol on the health and wellbeing of the UK population is widespread. Some key findings include ⬇️ ❤️🩹Even ‘low risk’ drinking (less than 14 units) is having an impact on the nation’s health and wellbeing with poor sleep, dental health and worse daily functioning. 👥Disparities in alcohol-related harms, with men, and people from lower socioeconomic groups, experiencing increased health problems. We'll be diving deeper into these findings over the next few weeks, so stay tuned. The time for alcohol change is now. We need improved labelling. We need a change in the slick marketing from big alcohol companies which shows alcohol as essential for so many occasions. We need change in our society so it’s easier when choosing to lower our risks by drinking less, or no, alcohol.
