It's beginning to look a lot like... ...the end of another great year. Spencer, Odrin, Michael, Jon, Andrew, Piers, Chris, Senne, Tony, Ben & Philo would like to wish all our customers, partners and industry colleagues a very Merry Christmas🎄 and a Happy New Year. Our "Floffice" (floating office) is now closed until the New Year (except Support) but we're looking forward to what promises to be an exciting 2025!

We’re excited to be showing just one of the many applications of our media integration platform, Busby with Ateliere Creative Technologies. Check it out the Ateliere stand at IBC - International Broadcasting Convention
Here's a sneak preview of our Ateliere Live + Squared Paper Ltd demo for IBC next week... If software based live production is to be adopted at scale, then the control surfaces, control latency and general operations environment need to be super familiar compared to today's widely deployed hardware based platforms. On our IBC booth you'll be able to test for yourself how close we are with our GPU based live production system. #ibcshow #virtualproduction #remoteproduction Ateliere Creative Technologies

Did you know, our Media Integration Platform, Busby, is used by many sports organisations? Implicitly familiar user interfaces for common tasks such as live logging, browse, asset and workflow management combine with our flexible ESB architecture and wide range of integrations to provide a platform that meets the evolving needs of sport video teams. Get in touch for a demo: https://lnkd.in/es3dTZnr #IBCShow #tradeshow #controlsystems #assetmanagement #sportsvideo #sportsMAM

Squared Paper Ltd reposted this
A sobering tale, I am constantly surprised that businesses are willing to lock themselves in to a single cloud supplier on a worse SLA than they are contracted to deliver. Tech teams often have a favourite and like to use all the bells and whistles of a platform, we saw this with Cisco and its dominance of physical infrastructure often delivering poor value for Money and we see it now with large cloud providers and system level software providers. C level executives should give clear business guidance to tech teams on how important it is for their business to be able to switch suppliers and what timescale is appropriate. It might be ok for a business to be locked in for a year in return for a saving of $x on that resource with a switching cost of $y. These are business decisions and business leaders should be aware of the consequences of tech lock in.
