Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney, and Cabinet Secretary, Neil Grey were in the neighbourhood delivering an important speech on technology and improving the NHS in Scotland. We are excited to announce that EnteroBiotix has completed recruitment for the Phase 2 TrIuMPH trial, evaluating EBX-102-02 in patients with moderate to severe irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This milestone was achieved ahead of schedule, enrolling 122 participants across two cohorts: 62 with constipation-predominant IBS (IBS-C) and 60 with diarrhoea-predominant IBS (IBS-D). The trial’s primary objective is to assess the safety and tolerability of EBX-102-02, with secondary endpoints exploring its efficacy, impact on the gut microbiome and the evaluation of relevant biomarkers. With topline data expected in Q1 2025, this marks an important step toward advancing innovative microbiome therapeutics for patients with unmet needs. A huge thank you to the trial participants, investigators, and our clinical team for their efforts in making this achievement possible. The rapid enrolment underscores the critical demand for therapies targeting microbiome imbalances in IBS and strengthens our commitment to delivering transformative solutions.
