Another excellent NHS Armed Forces Network Conference in the South East organised by Kate Parkin and her team. Held again at the magnificent Brighton & Hove Albion FC Amex Stadium, it gathered in key stakeholders from the NHS Armed Forces Network with other emergency Services, charities, business, local government and Reserve Units, the conference provides even more focus and co-operation for the future. Many delegates left with a horde of further actions, names and information crucial to improving our support for Defence. To complete the day, a host of Armed Forces Covenant signings (and re-signings)from Brighton & Hove City Council, Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus, Eastbourne Borough Council, East Sussex County Council, Lewes District Council, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Wealden District Council. 🌟Slough Borough Council signs Armed Forces Covenant! 🌟 The #ArmedForcesCovenant was signed by Cllr Dexter Smith, Leader of the Council; Cllr Neel Rana, Armed Forces Champion for Slough Borough Council and Wing Commander Stephen Fry, SO1 Reserves Strategy Plans Projects from RAF Northolt. Since signing the Community Covenant in 2013, the council wanted to update their ongoing support for the Armed Forces Community in Slough.
