During his last decade, he has led award winning Cyber teams, including digital forensics and media investigation, and internet child abuse investigation, introducing innovative cost effective technologies that pioneered the turnaround of digital evidence backlogs, enhancing the cyber and online CSAE investigation capabilities. His home force receive national recognition for several years running from the UK Home Office, National Police Chiefs' Council and the His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS). He was recognised by the NPCC in January 2025, receiving a lifetime achievement award for his invaluable contribution to national internet, intelligence and investigation functions. Pete brings a wealth of experience and energy in his aspirations to reduce harmful content on the internet, and protecting the most vulnerable members of our society. “I placed great value in fostering relationships across national policing, knowing that our greatest strength lay in our shared missions, experiences, and problem solving approaches. Bjørn-Erik, your explanation of addressing the source of harm and the imagery of “the tap” is something I will carry with me forever. 💠 OSCE: Radu, you were absolutely right—technology is here, but we must ensure it’s deployed effectively and in the right places. 💠INTERPOL: Marko, your presentation on the “Worst of” list moved me to tears. It also gave me the determination to step on more toes and advocate for text analysis to complement image analysis efforts. 🙏 INHOPE: Grete, Esmeralda and Chloe, thank you for an inspiring event. Cohort 3 Have Arrived 🎉 We are beyond excited to announce the launch of the third cohort of the GoodTech Ventures Accelerator – a 6-week, intensive programme designed to support early-stage ventures with a focus on scaling their impact through technology. For this cohort, we’ve partnered with Techspace at their brand new Goswell Road location to provide our founders with a dynamic, collaborative environment where our founders can grow, learn, and connect. The programme kicked off on November 5th and will culminate in a pitch showcase on January 23rd, 2025, at Techspace Shoreditch. After an overwhelming number of applications, we’re excited to introduce 11 incredible ventures that have been selected to join us for this cohort. Each of these ventures will receive a £3,000 grant to help implement their learning outcomes from the accelerator. The programme is delivered by Catch22 in partnership with Social Tech Trust and Unity Ventures with funding and support from Ufi VocTech Trust, Microsoft and the UK government through the Greater London Authority and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
