Eid Mubarak to our colleagues and customers who are celebrating! ✨ Eid marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a month when Muslims fast from pre-dawn to sunset. During Ramadan, our Reach! Network brought colleagues together for a special Iftar event. We learned about the origins of Ramadan, asked questions and for those observing, broke the fast and prayed together.

2025 is the year for new partnerships and fresh perspectives. So, I'm pleased to share that we've just signed Claire Williams OBE as our new F1 ambassador - the former Williams F1 Deputy Team Principal. It was great to spend the day with Claire last week, when she came into our office to talk to our senior leaders and share some of her experiences, but more importantly, her learnings too. There's so many parallels between F1 and banking, such as the need for constant change and innovation within strict regulatory, highly competitive and crowded environments. Our new partnership brings so many exciting opportunities.

What does it take to reach the top? 🚀 Together at Santander, we’re back for the 11th year of the global Santander W50 programme, an initiative we run in partnership with The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It supports women in leadership roles across the globe to enhance their careers, gain visibility, and take their leadership to the next level. It was great to get our UK cohort together today to celebrate and share success stories. Supporting female leaders is so important to us. Through initiatives like this, we aim to help more and more women progress in their careers. Good luck to everyone taking part this year. Go smash it!

7 years strong 💪 Our Women Business Leaders programme is back! Since launching in 2019, we've supported over 1,000 female businesses leaders. This year, over half of our mentors are returning! Together we'll continue to build a legacy of resilience, growth and collaboration. Our focus remains on: ✅ Supporting business' growth with tailored mentorship. ✅ Helping women build resilience during difficult times. ✅ Creating meaningful connections which drive success way beyond this programme. We can't wait to see the incredible things this year's mentees achieve ❤️

80 years of liberation 💜 This week, we were honoured to welcome Holocaust survivor, Janine Webber BEM. We learnt about her life and the great work that the charity Holocaust Educational Trust does. Janine shared her powerful story, living in fear under the Nazi regime. Now, she uses her voice to teach us about the past. Her key message was simple, "respect everyone, regardless of differences". Sadly, survivors are growing older and fewer. Janine's words remind us why remembrance, education and respect matter. We all have a role in creating a more inclusive and respectful world.

8 in 10 young people have never made a budget 🤯 We asked 18-21 year olds about their financial goals. Learning about investing came out on top! It got us thinking, what financial advice would we give to our younger selves? Find out what some of our team said.

Happy International Women's Day! This year's theme is #AccelerateAction, so it only feels right to shout out SOME women who have accelerated action this year at Santander. An inclusive culture is a healthy culture. We want people to be themselves and to learn, grow and thrive, whilst also looking out for each other along the way. Here's to continuing to support women at work, no matter what life might throw at you.
