Viadux Phase 2 has been approved by Manchester City Council! Designed by SimpsonHaugh, the proposals for the two towers, which will stand at 76 and 23 storeys, build upon the success of Viadux Phase 1, which reached completion last year. The 76-storey tower will house a 160-bedroom hotel, a restaurant, and 452 residences. The designs also include 133 affordable new homes within the 23-storey building, public realm enhancements and improved pedestrian connections to Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink. Last month it was announced that Nobu would be partnering with Salboy on Viadux Phase 2, a move that marks the brand’s debut in the UK’s property market. The hotel and restaurant will also be Nobu’s first in the UK outside of London. “Bringing Nobu to a new city is always a special moment.
