📍 Field highlights from Togo! Recently, IPG's Isabella Krabbe was in Togo with Catherine and Linda Kavishe from RSK Acoustics. Together, they were supporting an ongoing infrastructure project for water supply in the region 💧🇹🇬 The team carried out stakeholder engagement and social baseline data collection — including focus group discussions and household surveys — to help ensure the project is grounded in community insights and aligned with responsible development standards 🗣️🏠📋 This work reflects IPG’s ongoing commitment to delivering impactful environmental and social services through meaningful, inclusive engagement. 🌿 Yesterday, the Biodiversity team – James Richardson, Dave Massey, and Dr Leoma Williams – had the pleasure of working alongside Urban Ranger Debbie from Southway Housing Trust to enhance community green spaces in sunny South Manchester! 🌞 Our mission: to increase biodiversity in these spaces by planting wildflowers and native fruit shrubs, weeding, building trellises, and crafting bug hotels. We also prepared ground for future planting by covering parts of the grass lawn to create bare soil, ensuring seeds sown later this year have the best chance to thrive. Debbie is doing incredible work, creating and managing new habitats across 60 areas of formerly mown amenity grassland. Volunteers play a huge role in this process, and we were glad to contribute to the ongoing efforts. This project is a continuation of the work we started last year, including digging and sowing wildflower meadows, creating hedgerow supports, building habitat piles, and translocating plants. 🌸🐝 Together, these 60 sites are not only boosting biodiversity across a large area of the city but also engaging local communities in their green spaces. 🌱 #Biodiversity #rskfamily #Landscape #CommunityEngagement #GreenSpaces #UrbanWildlife #Sustainability

🌍 Last month, our Human Rights Lead Kübra Kalkandelen had the privilege of contributing to the OECD 11th Annual Workshop for Practitioners from Financial Institutions. She engaged with industry professionals on the growing role of human rights in finance. 🤝💼 Kübra shared: “Human Rights Assessments help businesses stay ahead of risks by continuously monitoring the operating environment. This supports crisis response and adaptation to shifts in regulation, labour rights, equality movements, challenges within supply chains, or climate change impacts.” 🌱⚖️ The discussion reinforced an important message: Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) is not just about compliance—it’s about building resilience, trust, and long-term value. 💪💡 With increasing regulatory and stakeholder expectations, financial institutions are uniquely positioned to drive responsible business practices. 🌟 Key takeaway from the workshop: Financial institutions aren’t just observers in the human rights space—they’re key players in shaping better business practices. Whether through lending, investment, or risk assessments, financial decision-making has a direct impact on human rights outcomes. 🏛️🌍 A big thank you to the OECD and all participants for an engaging and practical discussion.
