Customers can enjoy dining on the upstairs balcony, which features comfortable seating, tables, and power outlets- perfect for working remotely or enjoying a Barista-made organic coffee. Located on the busy A1M, just a short 15-minute drive from the Huntington, pop by and say hi to our new GM, Chloe, who is leading a fantastic team of 12 fully trained staff. Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week at Pret! At Pret, we’re passionate about learning, growth, and creating opportunities for our people. This week, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible apprentices who make such a valuable impact every day. Hannah J. one of our talented apprentices, shared her experience: “The knowledge I’ve gained from my apprenticeship has been invaluable. We’re thrilled to announce our first new shop opening of 2025, in partnership with Welcome Break, at their brand-new Rotherham services! 🎉 Our Rotherham Pret is just a short drive from Sheffield city centre, and we’re delighted to welcome customers to our brand-new Pret shop. We’d like to give a special shoutout to Laura, our brilliant General Manager, who has spent months training within the Welcome Break Pret network to ensure a successful launch. She’s built an enthusiastic, passionate team, and their excitement and dedication are incredible. This new shop also marks a milestone for Welcome Break, bringing their Pret network to seven locations - what an achievement! On Christmas Day, two Pret shops opened their doors to those experiencing homelessness, hosting festive lunches in Leeds with the support of EXULTANT LIMITED and Manchester. In partnership with local charities Two Brews and Helping Hands, we welcomed guests to enjoy freshly prepared festive food and drinks in a warm, supportive space. These events are part of our year-round commitment through The Pret Foundation to tackle hunger and homelessness by donating unsold food, supporting impactful organisations, and raising funds for vital causes. 🌟 Through The Pret Foundation, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Rising Stars and Shooting Stars celebration at the Pret Academy. It was an incredible moment to recognise and thank our Rising Stars who have joined the programme this year and our Shooting Stars who have completed their 9-month journey of workshops, offsites, learning and development opportunities, and confidence building. This year, we welcomed 126 Rising Stars onto the programme - each demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination from experiencing difficult times in their lives such as homelessness, prison, or displacement. The event was made even more special by the presence of family members, General Managers, and colleagues from across Pret, coming together to celebrate these inspiring individuals and their incredible progress. We were moved by the stories shared by our Shooting Stars, who reflected on their journeys, their achievements, and their ambitions for the future. 🌠 Here are just a few examples of their remarkable progress: ⭐ Kayne has been with Pret for over a year and is now an ambassador to local and national police, raising awareness about youth gang and knife crime. ⭐ Bianca completed her Team Leader training and will join our annual mentorship trip to Austria with the senior business team next year. ⭐ Jonathan has achieved Team Member Trainer status and is eager to support Pret team members across our shops with their customer service skills. ⭐ Tanvir is preparing for Team Leader and management training this year. ⭐ Sumira has gained independence through her work and is hopeful her daughter can also join the Pret team as she continues her studies. ⭐ Savannah, who recently completed her Barista training, is expecting her first child and hopes to explore opportunities at Pret's head office.
