Anyone hear the joke about the Miami billboard? “HUMANS NOT REQUIRED.” Not a joke. Not Black Mirror. Just real-life techno-optimism in giant letters. The message? Automate everything. Replace everyone. Hope it all works out. But here’s the thing: If you don’t even know what you should be hiring for, replacing won’t help. Better question: Do you actually know what skills your team will need 12 months from now? Most companies don’t. → Most companies can’t forecast future talent needs → Few have a clear view of current skills and capabilities → Even fewer have a system to close the gap And yet—they’re layering AI across the org like it’s a silver bullet. AI without clarity just scales chaos. If you don’t have: → A plan for how roles evolve as the business shifts → A live view of your team’s capabilities and capacity → A way to reskill from within before defaulting to external hires → Real alignment between HR, ops, and finance Then AI isn’t a fix—it’s an accelerant for a big fat bonfire 🔥🔥🔥 McKinsey put it well: “The winners treat talent like capital: measured, forecasted, deployed with precision.” They don’t do panic hiring. They don’t react to trends. They build SWP into the rhythm of the business. They shift from: Hiring → Planning Job descriptions → Outcome needs Org charts → Capability maps So if you’re a founder or leader trying to build something great, your job isn’t to stop hiring humans. It’s to help them win. This is where I come in 👏👏👏 You can learn more at peoplexai.co Curious—anyone else seeing this “replace everyone” narrative popping up more and more?

This memo screams 1 thing - we want more impact per person, ai fluency is critical, and the entire workforce is being overhauled. Well, 3 things, but it’s safe to say everything is already changing #peopleops #futureofwork #hr

Amazing to see the new Deel product launches yesterday at their well timed event… I jest, but “the spy who slacked me” has cracked me up all week (h/t Marion Anderson MSc MCIPD and her amazing podcast) So for some Friday fun… here’s a mockup of some new features Hidden is the $6,000 a month option of ‘actual spy to be paid via COO wife’s Revolut account, features include daily updates to WhatsApp upon request of ‘what’s the gossip boss’ and their devices to be destroyed via flushing and axe on discovery’ It’s wild out there in HRTech folks 🤣 #deel #rippling #peopleops #hrtech
