NASC - National Access and Scaffolding Confederation
Construction
The No.1 UK trade body for the access industry – setting the standard for scaffolding and access solutions.
About us
NASC is the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK, founded in 1945. Our strictly audited 250+ full contracting members work on the biggest & best temporary access jobs in the country. The record-level NASC membership now accounts for a significant share of the UK’s total industry workload and is increasingly making its mark in Europe. NASC produces a wide range of industry-recognised safety & technical guidance for scaffolding contractors, their operatives and their clients. Our 250+ contracting members and scaffolding equipment suppliers are strictly audited – ensuring the highest possible standards are met, confirming to NASC Criteria, Code of Conduct and the Code of Practice for scaffolding products. The continued high standard of our members is recognised by construction industry main contractors – who continue to stipulate NASC-only companies for scaffolding and access solutions. Being an NASC member gets your firm work with the UK's construction elite. The NASC operates a strict policy of full compliance to all new legislation and its own code of conduct. This separates us from the rest of the industry. Through our annual membership audit the Confederation ensures that members uphold best practice as professionals. This means the NASC does not look for shortcuts on safety, which could put lives at risk. The NASC provides its members and their clients with a wealth of professional advice including: * Health and Safety * Training & Recruitment * Hire, Sale and Manufacturing * Plant Security * Technical Standards * Quality Standards * Marketing * Contractual agreements * Insurance Access and Scaffolding is an important part of most contracts. Specifiers and contractors need the quality of service only NASC members can provide. Anything else is an unacceptable compromise. NASC members operate from locations throughout the UK. NASC: Regulated, Compliant, Qualified, Expert, Professional, Safe.

After hearing about the significant announcement of £625m investment in construction skills. Our CEO Clive Dickin said, “It is always nice to see the hard lobbying work we and other trade bodies have been doing pay off for members in this way. The expansion of the Skills Bootcamp funding means there is now a total pot of some £4m available for Scaffolding Skills Bootcamps.” Suzannah Nichol OBE 💙💛 CEO of Build UK, told Scaffolding Insider, “This is a great opportunity for the industry to step up and implement a clear action plan for the benefit of the whole supply chain.” Tim Balcon, CEO of the CITB, told us, “I genuinely believe this is a once-in-a-generation chance for us to recruit and train our workforce – equipping more people with the skills they urgently need now and in the future.” Read more on the Spring Statement, a round-up of industry news, and the latest from NASC using the link in the comments section #NASC #Builduk #CITB #growth #Investment #futuregeneration
