  • 💬 “It’s not a role we apply for, but one that life hands us.” Mohammad Awais, our wonderful Carer Support Team Manager, shares a deeply honest and personal look at what it means to be a male carer — and why connection is so important. 👉 Read Awais’ full reflection and the ways in which Mobilise is working to better support male carers: https://lnkd.in/eVzH_HTy In a role that can be isolating, especially for men, building community and support is vital. From our tailored newsletters, to the Mobilise App, and Men’s Meetups, we’re listening, learning, and creating spaces where male carers feel seen and understood. This isn’t just about better engagement - it’s about creating spaces male cares can feel like they belong. #MaleCarers #CarersVoices #MobiliseCommunity #MentalHealth #CarerSupport #PeerSupport #CaringAndConnection

  • 💡 Technology in healthcare has huge potential - but only if it truly works for unpaid carers. Our co-founder Suzanne Bourne has been speaking with the Mobilise community about the planned changes to healthcare tech. From AI-powered support to digital ‘carer passports’, carers are full of innovative ideas. But we also need to address the risks - accessibility, digital exclusion, and the need for human connection. Tech should support, not add stress. Read the full post below and join the conversation! 👇

💡 Tech in Healthcare: Bold ideas and concerns from carers. (Post two of three following conversations with unpaid carers on the topic of the NHS 10 year plan) Technology has the power to transform healthcare, but what does this mean for unpaid carers? The Mobilise community came together to explore the potential benefits, risks, and the bold ideas that could make healthcare tech truly work for carers. Carers see the potential… 💬 "AI could be a game-changer. Imagine a system that automatically summarises patient information for doctors, saving time and reducing errors." But they also see the risks… 💬 "We need to be careful not to over-rely on technology. What happens if the system crashes? What about those who can’t access or use it?" 🔹 Carers’ ideas for tech that truly supports them: ✅ A digital ‘carer passport’ to securely share vital information with healthcare providers ✅ AI-powered apps offering personalised support and advice for carers ✅ Virtual reality training to help carers develop complex care skills safely 🔹 Concerns that need addressing: ❌ Tech access and digital exclusion – not all carers have the right devices or skills ❌ Over-reliance on automation – carers worry about losing human connection and support ❌ System reliability – what happens if critical healthcare tech fails? 🚀 Key takeaway: Tech has incredible potential, but only if it’s designed with the user in mind. That means ensuring accessibility, training, and human oversight—so it supports carers rather than adding more stress. 👉 How do we make sure healthcare tech works for carers? I'd love to know your thoughts and experiences, do share your thoughts below! #NHS #HealthcareTech #DigitalHealth #AI #UnpaidCarers #CarerSupport
