🌍 This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of 15 industrial tech and engineering companies from Estonia at the Sister offices – the global hub for science and technology. 🙌 A big thank you to Josh Whiteley (Commercial Director) Bruntwood SciTech, for an insightful tour of the facilities and a deep dive into the innovation ecosystem that powers the region. 🏭 In the afternoon, we visited PrintCity MMU, the 3D additive and digital manufacturing centre at The Manchester Metropolitan University. Our guests heard an engaging presentation from Carl Diver (Professor of Innovative Manufacturing) and Ian Jones (Head of International Partnerships), highlighting the university’s forward-thinking work in digital production. 🤖 We concluded the day at The University of Salford, where Joseph Carroll (Business Engagement) provided an in-depth tour of their robotics facilities. As one of the UK’s largest robotics groups, the university plays a key role in driving industry collaboration across multiple sectors. 🙏 Thank you to all our hosts and partners for making the day both productive and inspiring.

Congratulations Rishi Kapoor and team 👏 Fantastic news from one to watch within Greater Manchester's thriving creative, digital and tech scene. It was a pleasure working with North AI during our recent USA visit and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them #watchthisspace #ai
We’re proud to announce that we’ve just secured our 4th consecutive grant from Innovate UK bringing our total pre-seed funding to just over £1 million 🚀 alongside investor partner Praetura Ventures. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of Praetura (Jessica Jackson and Sim Singh-Landa), NPIF2, British Business Bank and of course Innovate UK. This next phase of investment will allow North AI to deepen our proprietary data collection and further enhance our capabilities—pushing our predictive AI to be the most accurate in the market. The biggest recognition however needs to go to the brilliant co-founders who authored the application, Lucas Cazelli and the one who isn’t in the photo, Oleh Kurtianyk. This application got the highest score in the UK, and I can tell you, it wasn’t the parts I wrote 🫠 Huge thanks to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far—we’re only just getting started. #NorthAI #AI #PredictiveIntelligence #InnovateUK #PraeturaVentures #NPIF2 #BritishBusinessBank #Funding #StartupNews #MediaTech

We were delighted to join His Excellency, Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese Ambassador to the UK, on a visit to Mizkan Euro Ltd in Rochdale - manufacturing Sarson's vinegar in the heart of Atom Valley. As we continue to build business and cultural links with Greater Manchester and Japan, we can't forget the vital contribution Japan makes to our national dish!
This afternoon, I had the honour of accompanying the Japanese Ambassador to the UK on a visit to Mizkan Euro Ltd in Middleton as part of Ambassador Suzuki’s first visit to Manchester. As a key Japanese company in Greater Manchester, we had a really great introduction to Mizkan and learnt all about how vinegar is made. We then had a fascinating tour of the factory to see where Sarson’s vinegar and Mizkan’s Japanese vinegars are produced. To round off the visit, we had a very special tasting session, and Ambassador Suzuki thoroughly enjoyed his fish and chips! Thanks to everyone who made it such a great afternoon, especially the Mizkan team for all their hospitality.
