The UK has become 'allergic to risk', according to a speech set to be made by the City of London’s policy chair, Chris Hayward today. Published in an article in City AM this morning, the speech details how Hayward is set to call for a cultural overhaul of how politicians and regulators perceive risk, suggesting a number of changes to encourage 'a new spirit of responsible risk-taking'. He also plans to rally the troops with the rousing view that 'the UK prospers when its global heart, the City, is beating strongly!'
