🌟 Standing the Test of Time Since 1955 🌟 We’re proud to reflect on one of our standout projects — the award-winning Plymouth Theatre Royal Production Centre – TR2. A celebration of innovative design and durable materials, the building features a striking combination of weathering surfaces. Most notably, the Locker Architectural woven phosphor bronze mesh wraps around the ‘beached’ performance spaces, creating a soft metallic presence along the riverside footpath. This material not only enhances the building’s form but also evolves beautifully over time. The maritime setting and exposure to the elements — including natural patination and gull guano — result in unique colourations from fluorescent greens to rich golds. A true testament to the enduring beauty of architectural mesh. Clad in 2,600m² of Locker laser-cut aluminium sheets, the facade showcases graduated radiused vertical corrugations, with each panel precisely engineered to have identical sinusoidal corrugations. This perforated design not only enhances the architectural appeal but also allows for customisation, as the perforation pattern, depth, and wavelength of the profile can be tailored to create a unique, bespoke look.
