✅ Deal Closed: ABL Facility Secured Delighted to have completed on a £20.25m structured ABL lend, to facilitate the MBI of a long established, mid-market business in the Birmingham area. Praetura facilities were spread across CID, GGS, P&M and Property. It was a complicated and highly evolving transaction. Huge thanks to everyone involved internally in getting this across the line — collaboration at its best. I felt a bit like Harry Redknapp on transfer deadline day, as we closed at 11.56pm on Saturday evening, a whole 4 minutes before the end of the tax year deadline/transfer window slammed shut. Happily, however, no "broken" fax machines were required in this instance..... Thank you to Claire, Mariche, and Zoe at Squire Patton Boggs, and Bailey from Praetura, for legals, support and guidance. Their commercial approach and deep understanding of ABL structures played a key role throughout. 🌟It’s the end of an era! 📈Mike Day started working with Adrian Anthon at Kingsway back in 2004... since that time, Mike has led the sales team to reaching new heights, spreading the word of Kingsway far and wide, with Mike becoming a well-respected figure in the industry in the process. 🎯In 2019 Mike was promoted to the role of Sales Director, following the acquisition of Kingsway by Praetura Lending. Mike has not only been integral in developing the broker relationships that Kingsway has built its foundations on, but also in growing the Sales Team and training the BDMs, leading that team to hit record-breaking sales levels on multiple occasions! Mike is now leaving us to start a new chapter – his retirement ⛳🥃☀ 😍Mike goes with our love and best wishes, leaving us with very fond memories of his time with us at Kingsway (just a few of which feature in the animation below) 👇

🌟Our sales team is expanding! 🤝We’re delighted to share the news that Joe Burns is moving across to our Sales Team as our new Graduate Business Development Manager. Joe started life at Kingsway in our Operations Team back in the winter of 2021, moving across to our Underwriting Team to help with an increase in demand for the funding available from Kingsway in April last year. 👌Joe’s hard work, determination and enthusiasm to learn during his time at Kingsway has made him an integral part of the team and will ensure he will now be an amazing asset to the Sales Team. 🗨Commenting on the move, our Credit Manager, Kim Anthon told us: “Joe is a great advert for the career progression that’s possible at Kingsway and Praetura Lending and I’m delighted that his hard work and ambition has been rewarded with a move to the Sales Team. He joined us back in 2021 with no background in the financial services sector, but since then he has built his knowledge of soft asset and loan lending with us and also grasped hard asset funding during a secondment with fellow Praetura Lending company, Praetura Asset Finance. “Joe’s personality shines through and his confidence has grown year on year, he has built solid relationships with the broker network and taken proactive steps to support the Sales Team. Last year Joe willingly accepted a secondment with the Underwriting Team to harvest his credit skills, adding more strings to his bow that will undoubtedly assist him in his next career step. Although the Underwriting Team is losing a great asset, I’m thrilled that Joe is moving into a role that he has worked hard at to achieve.” Joe added: “Kingsway is a great place to work and the whole team have been amazing helping me to understand the different aspects of the business and work towards my main goal of being a part of the Sales Team. I feel the knowledge that I’ve gained through working in both Operations and Underwriting will help me assist brokers in a new way. “I am really looking forward to making new relationships with our broker network and strengthening existing ones.
