About us

The King’s Trust is working for young people. We support 11 to 30-year-olds in the UK to develop the skills and confidence they need for life, to find a job or start a business. Founded by His Majesty The King in 1976, when he was HRH The Prince of Wales, we’ve helped more than 1,000,000 young people into work, education and training – and there’s more work to do. • We were proud to host our East Midlands Annual Showcase in March - bringing together our incredible community of partners, donors, and funders to celebrate the impact of our work and the young people at the heart of it. 💫 Guests had the opportunity to learn more about our programmes, hear directly from our staff and inspiring young ambassadors, and experience a pop-up market featuring four Trust-supported businesses. One of those was Clara Archer, founder of CLA Designs Clothing, who showcased her sustainable fashion brand and shared her journey as a young entrepreneur. A huge thank you to Clara and everyone who joined us. 🙌 #Enterprise #Entrepreneurship #YoungEntrepreneurs #SustainableFashion

Stepping into the Spotlight: My First Business Showcase Experience with The King's Trust! As one of the young entrepreneurs on The King's Trust Enterprise Programme, I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my sustainable streetwear brand, CLA Designs Clothing , at the East Midlands Showcase Event at the University of Nottingham's Castle Meadow Campus. Pictured with me at my stall are: ✨ Dewi Prichard-Jones – Head of Volunteering at The King’s Trust. ✨ Nick Rubins – High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire. ✨ Stephen Bryan JP – High Sheriff of Leicestershire. All of whom showed great interest and support for my brand’s sustainable circular model and the adventure narrative behind my mascot, Zeke. It was amazing to see people resonate with my mission: to promote sustainable fashion, recycling, and raising awareness on issues like animal cruelty, climate change, substance abuse and positive reinforcement through storytelling and art. At the start of the night, I was anxious about pitching my business, but by the end, it became second nature. This experience has given me the confidence to fully promote my brand, and I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of The King’s Trust team. Special thanks to Rachel Edwards, Head of Operations at The King’s Trust leading the East Midlands regional hub, who you can see in one of the images giving an insightful talk about the organisation’s impact since its founding in 1976. Without her and the amazing team, this event wouldn’t have been possible! Thank you for believing in my vision and supporting me on this journey!
