Fergal will build out our firm’s advisory and restructuring capabilities in Hong Kong, and support ambitious expansion plans in the wider area. Fergal was formerly a partner at KPMG China, and brings over 25 years’ experience in restructuring, insolvency, and banking advisory. We are delighted to announce our launch in Spain and expanded operations across DACH with the arrival of 6 new Managing Directors. Highly experienced deals advisor Neil Siri today joins Interpath as CEO of DACH, and preeminent restructuring and debt advisor Gonzalo Montes Amayo becomes CEO of Spain. Alongside Neil, we welcome debt specialist Robert von Finckenstein, while Gonzalo arrives with a team of 3 market-leading professionals in Juan Jose Legarda, Jordi Castiñeira and Alfonso Parejo Yanguas. Neil Siri was previously a Deal Advisory partner at PwC with over 25 years of experience in both the US and German markets and has an extensive track record of advising private equity and corporate clients across a wide range of transaction and advisory situations. Gonzalo Montes Amayo was previously Head of Funding Advisory for KPMG in Spain, and over the course of his career, has worked on some of the most significant and complex restructuring and debt financing engagements in the market. Robert von Finckenstein is a former Managing Partner for Alantra Deutschland GmbH, where he held a number of roles, including leading the firm’s Debt Advisory and Restructuring business. Juan Jose Legarda will lead Interpath’s Debt Advisory team in Spain and brings to Interpath extensive experience of supporting companies and their stakeholders with complex financings and refinancings across sectors. Jordi Castiñeira has advised on some of the largest debt restructurings in Catalonia, helping not only with the financial viability of companies, but also in the provision of operational and equity solutions through M&A processes. Alfonso Parejo Yanguas has a proven track record in complex financing and refinancing processes, having advised upon transactions totalling over €10 billion in debt. We are delighted to announce our Managing Director promotions. Today we have welcomed Sam Birchall, Natasha Harbinson, and Gareth Slater to our leadership team. The new MDs demonstrate the incredible, market-leading talent we have at Interpath and evidence the investment we make in our people as we deliver our 2030 Strategy. Sam Birchall is a Corporate Finance and Restructuring specialist, leading our Special Situations M&A practice across the UK, and he has worked on some of our largest restructuring and distressed M&A transactions in recent years. Natasha Harbinson is a leading figure in our Restructuring team and has more than 12 years’ experience advising companies in stress and distress, including experience working lender-side, and is currently leading two of Interpath's significant restructuring plan mandates. Gareth Slater has more than 25 years’ experience in restructuring and related fields across London and the South West, and has been core to the successful outcomes on a number of high profile, Interpath-led restructurings in recent years. The announcement comes as part of our latest round of promotions, our largest ever, which has supported the advancement of colleagues right across our international business. We are delighted to have advised OutsideClinic Limited on its Restructuring Plan, which was approved at a sanction hearing on 28 March 2025. OutsideClinic is the UK’s leading provider of in-home eye and hearing tests. The Company launched the Restructuring Plan after it experienced difficulty in meeting demand in services following the Covid-19 pandemic and after two strategic acquisitions negatively impacted revenue. The sanction of the Plan marks a pivotal moment, firstly in demonstrating that a Restructuring Plan is a valuable tool which can be used by companies from across the mid-market, but also because it is one of the first instances in which HMRC has voted in favour of a Restructuring Plan under which it is compromised.
