I'm thrilled to celebrate the launch of the Women and Girls' Issue the Community Eye Health Journal. This edition is a must read for anyone committed to acheiving equitable eye care services for all. Congratulations to Elmien Wolvaardt, the guest editors Sumrana Yasmin, @jacqueline ramke, Louisa Syrett and all the contributing authors for bringing this important issue to life. The journey of this issue began eight months ago at 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE, Mexico, during a meeting between the Journal and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) Gender Equity Work Group. Seeing this collaboration come to fruition is a testament to the power of connection, knowledge-sharing, and collective action in the eye care sector. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the real impact we can achieve when we come together.
