For the 10th year running, Intelect are proud to be supporting the annual Durham Easter Egg Run, which is taking place this Sunday! It is fantastic to see the local community come together for this event, delivering Easter Eggs and donations to children’s hospitals and other charities around the area, using one of our Intelect vans. INTELECT MECHANICAL CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF SUCCESS! Intelect Mechanical is proud to mark a major milestone as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary! This week, the company reflects on two decades of hard work, growth, and success. 🏆 Founded on 5th April 2005, Intelect Mechanical was built on the determination of its directors, Kevan Thomas and Steve Gent, who have since expanded to a team of 23 skilled professionals, with 3 of their original 5 team members still part of the team today! The pair, who previously worked together before starting Intelect Mechanical, moved to join Fran Cormican and fellow directors under the Intelect brand, initially laying the foundations of the business alongside Graham Rogers, Peter Caldwell, and Kevan’s father, Ken. Here are some business highlights from Kevan and Steve from over the last two decades: 🏘️ Outgrowing their shared Walton Road unit alongside Intelect UK. 🧱 Moving to Intelect Court on Riverside Park and building two new state-of-the-art buildings to be able to better support their customers. 🧑🔧 Hiring their first-ever apprentice, Dave Eason, who still works for the team today, and supporting countless other apprentices into a career in engineering. 🤝 Expanding their customer base and building strong relationships with clients and major brands. 🧑🎓 Currently employing 4 apprentices, with 5 former apprentices advancing into key-roles. 💻 Continuously investing in new technology, including laser cutters and 3D scanning technology, opening up new markets for the business, and supporting future growth. Marching For Maggie’s 🚶⚡️ This month, Intelect Mechanical will be proudly supporting ‘Marching for Maggie’s ,’ a group of 8 men attempting to walk the 84 miles of Hadrian’s wall in just 4 days! Maggie’s have centres providing a caring service to patients and family members who have been diagnosed with Cancer. They are currently in the process of opening another centre on our doorstep at James Cook, bringing the total to 24 centres throughout the UK. They are now more than 80% of the way to reaching their fundraising goal, and every penny raised will go directly toward supporting this fantastic cause.
