HJ Consulting Engineers Ltd are proud to be part of the collaborative team working on the Overfield Park, Newark development in partnership with Lindum Group. HJCE are delivering comprehensive civil and structural engineering services, from planning stage through construction and to completion on this exciting new project. Overfield Park is situated at the intersection of three major trade routes (the A1, the A46 and the A17) and presents a unique opportunity for industrial and warehouse opportunities, as well as roadside, retail and leisure. Outline planning permission is approved for the Phase 1 works consisting of 120,000 sq ft of industrial/logistics use, with a Phase 2 planning permission currently under consideration for a further 450,000 sq ft. HJ Consulting Engineers Ltd are pleased to be supporting Lindum Group on the next phase of development on their 18.3 acre Pickering Park site in North Yorkshire. The second phase of development comprises 11 new industrial starter units ranging in size from 1,200 sqft to 2,100 sqft. It marks the continuation of the transformation of the former gas processing plant, into a thriving business hub. If granted planning permission, the new industrial hub is expected to strengthen the local economy by providing high-quality commercial space and boosting business opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, and related industries. The proposed design incorporates sustainability-focused elements, including provisions for future photovoltaic panel installation, cycle parking, and accessible infrastructure. The Environment Agency is scheduled to update its Flood Map for Planning service on 25 March 2025, incorporating the latest National Flood Risk Assessment (NaFRA2) data. HJCE are pleased to be providing Civil and Structural engineering services for our client Harworth Group plc at their brand-new rail-connected logistics site at Gascoigne Interchange. This strategic rail site will enable future occupiers to benefit directly from low-carbon freight movement. The on-site rail connectivity will provide access to the wider regions, all major ports, and the Channel Tunnel. This major brownfield development has retained its main line access points and onward connections to the strategic rail and road networks and has ample capacity for development. The site is suitably located between major deep sea ports to the south and short sea ports to the north, west and east. The site also benefits from close proximity to the A1(M) and the M62.
