Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

Since 2014, we've carried blood and plasma on board and today marks 11 years since our very first blood transfusion. On average, we respond to seven emergencies every day. For many of the emergencies we attend, our patients will need a blood transfusion before they reach hospital. Last Saturday, Jo and her best friend, Marianne, tackled the Easter 50 Ultra Challenge in aid of our charity. As part of our equipment, we carry a radio that helps us stay in communication with our dispatchers. They let us know where we need to go, share details of the incident, and we can update them when we’re leaving the scene and ready to be deployed to the next mission.💚🚁 📸 Tim Wallace
