At #HETTNorth25 recently Jane Fitzgerald course leader in Health Informatics at University of Central Lancashire met with our communications partner Highland Marketing to discuss the importance of a fully joined-up EPR. She described it as "absolutely essential" off which everything else hangs within the healthcare system. In turn a key focus she highlighted is educating patients in using digital technology and also frontline staff where understanding is "very, very patchy" and many of whom have not grown up with digital literacy. 📣 Prevention must be at the heart of future NHS policy. For too long, the NHS has operated on a "diagnose and treat" model, but as demand rises and resources stretch thin, this approach is no longer sustainable. In our latest blog, Sophie Harrington, Senior Content Executive at HETT, explores why prevention needs to become the system-wide priority, how we can deliver care closer to home, and the role of investment, data, and innovation in creating a more proactive and financially viable NHS. Key themes include: 🔹 The shift from hospitals to community-based care 🔹 Investment in public health and digital tools 🔹 Addressing social determinants of health 🔹 Policy actions needed to embed prevention Read the full article: https://hubs.la/Q03gmHn70 #DigitalHealth #NHS #HealthInnovation #PreventionFirst #CareCloserToHome #HETTShow25 #HealthcareTransformation

HETT Show reposted this
Earlier this year we partnered with Health Innovation Network to hold a roundtable discussion at HETT Show North to explore how Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement can deliver more inclusive, sustainable healthcare innovation. 📢 A new report, based on the findings from the roundtable, explores: ✅ embedding patient voices in digital health development, ✅ moving beyond traditional engagement pathways, ✅ building trust through local, community-led approaches, ✅ real-world case studies. A key takeaway? Meet people where they are. Tackling health inequalities means recognising how social, economic, and cultural factors shape access to care. 💡 Explore the full report, Forging a more equitable future through Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement :

Health Innovation Network's new report, Forging a more equitable future through Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement, is a result of a fantastic day at HETT Show North, where patients visited innovators exhibiting at the event and shared reflections on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE), common challenges and best practices. In partnership with The Patients Association, HIN convened a roundtable discussion to explore how PPIE can deliver more inclusive, sustainable healthcare innovation. This created a set of recommendations (in the report) that outline how well-structured patient engagement can enable more equitable, impactful and inclusive healthcare innovations. https://lnkd.in/d8EW9bA9

Our communications partner for #HETTNorth25, Highland Marketing, spoke to Jamie Whysall, head of health at Netcompany. Jamie shared insights on how the NHS can leverage its vast data to improve healthcare outcomes. With the NHS sitting on a wealth of data spread across various systems, Jamie emphasised the importance of integration and a holistic approach, rather than deploying isolated point solutions.
