In an increasingly digital world, the role of human partnerships that provide genuine value couldn't be more vital. We recently had the privilege of hosting an inspiring group of women at the Women’s Six Nations Rugby match – an event that perfectly captured the spirit of human connection and authentic partnership. Aysha Chouhdary and Deborah Carrivick TEP shared honest reflections on their legal careers, while rugby legend Amber Reed offered powerful insight into the mindset needed to thrive in elite sport. Despite coming from different worlds, their messages echoed the same themes: bravery, authenticity, and kindness. At Heat, we believe strong partnerships are built on shared values – and events like these bring those to life. We left feeling inspired, connected, and proud to be part of a record-breaking crowd for women’s rugby in Wales! #HeatLegal #HumanPartnerships #LegalRecruitment

Well done to Alan Jones for this wonderful feedback! ⭐ "I had a fantastic experience working with Alan at Heat Recruitment. Throughout a multi-stage interview process, he was supportive, communicative, and genuinely had my best interests at heart. Unlike some recruiters, I never felt like just another candidate in a pipeline. He was professional but also easy to talk to. I am very grateful for his assistance successfully securing an offer which was better than I was expecting." Keep up the great work👏 #FinancialServicesJobs #FinanceOpportunities #FinancialServices

A proud moment for Birketts with Deborah Carrivick TEP speaking at the Rugby Union Women’s Wales v England game at the Principality Stadium on Saturday. Deborah and Aysha Chouhdary shared their experiences in becoming successful lawyers and the challenges they face as women in law. Professional rugby player Amber Reed also spoke about her life in the sport and how the gap between women’s and men’s rugby is steadily closing. The match drew a record attendance of over 21,000 highlighting the growing support for women's rugby. Thank you to Heat Recruitment and Hayley Martin for organising. #WomenInLaw #WomensRugby #WalesVsEngland

Another great week of networking with our Geldards LLP #family team. 💚🙌 We kicked off the week with Rathbones Group Plc first professional drinks in Cardiff and returned to the Principality Stadium on Saturday for the Women's Six Nations 🏴 🏴 It was a brilliant afternoon hosted by Hayley Martin in the Heat Recruitment hospitality box. It was lovely to make so many new connections whilst watching a great game of rugby! We also heard from Aysha Chouhdary, Deborah Carrivick TEP and Amber Reed who each shared their inspiring journeys into their respective professions. Now starting my sunny Monday morning on the train to Derby. Looking forward to catching up with the team over the next couple of days. Belinda Moseley Adrienne Donneky Kate Williams Fiona Apthorpe

Well that was an incredible Saturday. Massive congrats to Hayley Martin for organising such a fantastic and inspirational event. Bristol Junior Lawyers Division (Bristol JLD) were lucky enough to be invited to hear from Aysha Chouhdary, Deborah Carrivick TEP and former Bristol Bears and England player Amber Reed about their journeys through law and sport. Lots of amazing lessons and advice imparted, but the metaphor that stood out for me was that you should ‘leave your jersey in a better place than when you picked it up’.

Amber Reed words before yesterday’s Wales Rugby Union Women’s game at the Principality Stadium against England (I know, I’m a glutton for punishment) really resonated. She mentioned the New Zealand rugby tradition that you are the caretaker of the jersey, you don’t own it. It’s a powerful reminder that representing your country is about more than just the moment, it’s about honoring those who came before and inspiring those who will follow & leaving the jersey in a better place than you found it. Richie McCaw put it perfectly: “The jersey won’t do it on its own. It’s up to the individual to fill it & you are entrusted with the jersey. It’s your time to do it & add something to it. To leave a legacy behind. You can see it as a weight on your shoulders or you can see it as a great privilege & get excited by it.” This applies far beyond rugby. In law, in business, in life. I love the idea that as partners we are custodians of the law firm, not owners. Our role is to leave things better than we found them. That’s why I’m 100% behind this mindset & the brilliant speeches by Deborah Carrivick TEP & Aysha Chouhdary yesterday echoed this : be the person who makes a difference, be authentically you, and don’t try to fit into a box. By doing so, you’ll pave the way for those who need it most. You will always find your home. What a great day! Thank you Hayley Martin & Heat Recruitment for inviting me & Keara Bowgen Nicholas - we had such a great day (despite the score…I need to stop going to the Principality Stadium ) Gratuitous level 5 Taylor Swift shot -(not even sorry!) sort of feeling that Nesa ‘pint of wine’ this morning! 🏴 RWK Goodman
