🌟Meet Corrin Knox (🟡 🟢/🔴🔵) – Comms & Engagement Lead of our DE&I Team Forum We’re excited to introduce Corrin Knox, Head of Experience at Lydstep Beach, and Comms & Engagement lead of our DE&I Team Forum! 🎉 Corrin is passionate about fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. We asked Corrin to share her thoughts on DE&I and what this forum means to her: 💬 What inspired you to join the DE&I forum, and what does diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you personally? "To me, DE&I is about ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, identity, or experience, has the opportunity to thrive in an environment that respects and celebrates differences. For me, it's about recognising the range of different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences people bring to the table. That we ensure everyone has access to the same opportunities and resources while creating spaces where all voices are heard and valued, regardless of differences." 💡 What impact do you hope to make through this forum, and what changes would you love to see in our workplace? "In a forum like this, I’d hope to make an impact by helping spark conversations that encourage openness, understanding, and active listening. It's all about providing a space where everyone feels empowered to share their unique perspectives and learn from one another. In doing so, I would aim to help foster more inclusive practices that bridge gaps, challenge biases, and celebrate diversity in all forms. I would love to see a culture that prioritises psychological safety, where everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns without fear of judgment or retribution. That includes having clear and effective systems/policies in place to address inequities and biases, whether they’re related to hiring, promotions, or everyday interactions." 🚀 How can we, as a team, ensure this forum drives real action and meaningful progress in our DE&I efforts? "To ensure progress, here are a few ways I feel the forum can actively engage everyone: set clear goals and accountability, encourage open and honest dialogue, offer education and training, celebrate, act on feedback, celebrate wins and acknowledge challenges, collaborate, build partnerships, leadership commitment" Thank you, Corrin, for your dedication to driving real change! 💙 Let’s work together to make our workplace even more inclusive for all. #DEI #Inclusion #Leadership #StrongerTogether

🌟 Meet Rachel Simkin, Co-Chair of our DE&I Team Forum! 🌟 Rachel is passionate about fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for everyone, and we’re so proud to have her driving meaningful change. 🙌💙 We asked Rachel to share her thoughts on DE&I and what the team forum means to her: ✨ What inspired you to join the DE&I forum, and what does diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you personally? 💬 "Being part of the LGBTQI+ community 🏳️🌈 I have always had a passion to ensure everyone felt safe and included. From being on the I&D board, I have learnt so much more about DE&I and the importance of it in the workplace. Seeing the things we do in this space make a difference to individuals every day is what inspired me to apply for the DE&I forum." 🌍 What impact do you hope to make through this forum, and what changes would you love to see in our workplace? 💡 "Over the last few years, we have certainly managed to educate and celebrate DE&I in the business, but there is so much more to do! The forum will bring a number of different ideas and perspectives to allow us to continue to grow and ensure that every team member has a voice of their own 🎤✨ and can be part of the growth of this space within the business." 🚀 How can we, as a team, ensure this forum drives real action and meaningful progress in our DE&I efforts? 🤝 "I think sometimes people believe that if it doesn't directly relate to them, there's no reason to get involved. Actually, by supporting all areas, we help develop a safe and inclusive environment for everyone! 💙 It brings an element of power to our organisation for collaboration and change. Just being present, showing support, and asking questions in a safe and respectful way can make a real difference!" 🙌 Thank you, Rachel, for your passion, leadership, and dedication to making our workplace a more inclusive and empowering place for everyone! 💙👏 #DEI #Inclusion #Leadership #TogetherWeGrow #StrongerTogether

🌍✨ This week is Neurodiversity Awareness Week—a time to celebrate the many ways people think, process, and experience the world! But more importantly, we’re asking: How can we be more inclusive for our Guests, Owners, and team? Neurodiversity means that no two brains work the same way. Some may process information differently, communicate uniquely, or experience the world in ways that don’t fit the “traditional” mold—and that’s something to embrace! To further our commitment, we’ve launched the Neurodiversity Workstream, focusing on: 💡 Supporting Our Team 💡 Supporting Our Guests & Owners We caught up with Gemma Balm and Lauren d 🟢🔴/🟡🔵 Du Plooy Flowers, who are leading this important work. Why did you choose to be part of this workstream and what does it mean to you? 💬 Lauren: The ND Focus at Haven is important to me, not just as part of my role, but because our Team’s shared diversity data has highlighted the need for greater support. We want every Team Member to not only have a great experience but to truly thrive. 💬 Gemma: As someone actively trying to build my own understanding to be a better ally, being the Workstream Lead for Neurodiversity for our Guests and Owners means a lot to me. If I can help drive change and create environments where our teams, guests, and owners feel safe, be themselves, and be happy—that’s a great thing. What is the Neurodiversity Workstream, and why does it matter? 💡 Lauren: Our workstream is a group of individuals across Haven dedicated to learning, challenging stereotypes, and creating safe, inclusive environments. We aim to build a more diverse, equitable workplace and enhance the on-park experience. 💡 Gemma: Our journey started with an education workshop led by neurobox, showing how the world is structured for neurotypical individuals—and how we can better support neurodivergent experiences. We’ve learned from our parks the value of listening, creating safe spaces, and offering practical support. A successful sensory pack trial for guests at Littlesea is now expanding to ten more parks in 2025, with the goal of rolling it out across all parks in the future! What’s one misconception about neurodiversity you’d love to clear up? 💬 Lauren: That neurodivergent individuals are all similar. The reality is that no two experiences are the same. Two people with autism, for example, may have completely different strengths and challenges. We must move away from generalisations and embrace the unique ways each person thinks and experiences the world. At Haven, we believe that embracing neurodiversity makes us stronger—as a team, as a community, and as a brand. Let’s continue learning, supporting, and celebrating our differences! 💙 #NeurodiversityAwareness #InclusionMatters #CelebrateDifferences
