GS2 | B Corp™

GS2 take on 100 miles over 3 days, June 2025! 👟 In June 2025 a group of 100 volunteers, including a group of us from GS2, will attempt to walk the entire length of the Jurassic Coast. 👟 This is all to help raise funds in support of clinical research for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a genetic, neuromuscular condition with 1 in 10,000 children born with the condition. Before 2016, without treatment, most children with SMA Type 1 were expected to live for less than two years. Today, early diagnosis can significantly abate the impacts of SMA, however, more awareness is needed to recognise the symptoms and clinical research is essential to improve quality of life for those affected. To increase awareness of the condition and to highlight the inaccessibility of UK rural walkways, the team also aim to transport Stan, an individual who has SMA Type 3, a variant of the condition that onsets later in life. Stan will be transported in a custom-built wheelchair, and where necessary, lifted over walls and parts of the route that just don’t allow those with restricted mobility to access – a truly symbolic journey! Celebrating Q1s milestones at GS2 | B Corp™ 👏 🎂This quarter we have had the privilege of celebrating several incredible team members' work anniversaries A huge thank you to: Tyler Webb, who celebrated two years with GS2 in January after joining as  a founding team member. Malak Gomaa, who celebrated a year with GS2 in February after joining us on an apprenticeship and has now successfully completed this. Matthew Ulysses MREC CertRP, who celebrated a year with GS2 in March and joined us to build out our interim offering. Heather Mclaren, who celebrated two years with GS2 in March and joined as a founding team member and our first member of the support team. Greg Walker, who celebrated a year with GS2 in March and has built out our Sustainable Finance team.  🌍 We’re so grateful to have a dedicated team help drive our success and we look forward to many more achievements together at GS2. #GS2 #celebratingsuccess
