I'm excited to share my latest collaboration with gestalten on a beautiful book! If you’re an avid or aspiring sailor, or simply an adventure seeker, this new project will certainly get your interest! For "Sailing the Seas Vol. 2 – Grand Maritime Adventures", created in collaboration with Sailing Collective Travel Co. and Dayyan Armstrong, I designed 22 nautical maps illustrating 21 incredible sailing routes across some of the world’s most stunning maritime destinations. These maps are inspired by traditional nautical charts and feature bathymetry (underwater topography), hillshading for land relief, latitude and longitude lines, a scale in nautical miles, and recommended anchorages in bays and around islands. One of the most exciting aspects of this project was mapping such a diverse range of locations—from the icy waters of Antarctica to the turquoise lagoons of French Polynesia, from the rugged coasts of Scotland to the sun-drenched shores of the Bahamas. Typically, the land is the focal point of my maps, so shifting the focus to water and coastlines presented a unique and exciting challenge! This project was a fantastic opportunity to merge cartography, design, and adventure, transforming complex marine landscapes into clear, visually engaging maps. Discover the world of rice through its diverse flavors and endless possibilities in our new book with Swedish cookbook author, TV chef, and food stylist, Tove Nilsson Jakobson, 'Rice and Shine'. Rice is not merely a side dish but often the main feature, offering diverse culinary experiences depending on the type used. It can be sticky, creamy, airy, crunchy, nutty, perfumed, or gooey, and it uniquely absorbs the flavors of spices and broths during cooking. For many people worldwide, rice is a staple, consumed at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hungry? Check out 'Rice and Shine' here: https://lnkd.in/d7WENF3B Photos by Roland Persson
