Sky Bet – Every Minute Matters --- At Flutter UK & Ireland we’re passionate about giving back and supporting our local communities as part of our ‘Do More’ pledge. One partnership I’m particularly proud of is Sky Bet’s ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign with the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The partnership was launched just under a year ago and set the ambitious goal of encouraging 270,000 people – equivalent to three Wembley stadiums - to start learning CPR by the 24/25 Sky Bet EFL (English Football League) play-offs at the end of May. I’m incredibly pleased that we’ve reached this target, and with over a month to go until the play-offs, we’re setting a new ambition to reach 360,000 people, taking the total up to four times the capacity of Wembley stadium. Hitting our goal ahead of time follows the success of our Sky Bet EFL Every Minute Matters Relay which kicked off last week. With the help of the EFL, the Sky Bet team has created a relay consisting of two simultaneous 2,000km routes, with colleagues from Flutter, the EFL and BHF, running, walking, and cycling past each of the 72 EFL club stadiums alongside some of football’s biggest household names. Everyone taking part is asking friends and family to sponsor them by donating 15 minutes of their time to learn CPR via the BHF’s RevivR online tool. So far, over 75 people have taken part, covering over 1,500m. We’ve also been joined on the relay by comedian and Swansea fan Ellis James, with Dion Dublin and Phil Jagielka due to take part. Please do what you can to spread the word and encourage others to donate their time and learn what is a truly life-saving skill. All you need is your phone and a cusion from a couch! A huge thanks and well done to the team for pulling this off, and I’m looking forward to cheering on my colleagues who are taking part in the relay later this month.

Last week, Flutter UK & Ireland marked Neurodiversity Week with a session led by Daisy Smith, alongside Alex Partridge, founder of UNILAD and LADbible Group. Together, we dived into what neurodiversity really means, busted common myths, and explored how as colleagues we can show up to support others in the business in different ways. Key messages we explored included... 💭 Neurodiversity is not a limitation – it’s a different way of thinking that can bring it's own unique strengths and perspectives. 💭 Dyslexia isn’t just about reading struggles – it can also affect memory, organisation, and processing speed, but many with dyslexia excel in creative problem-solving. 💭 ADHD looks different for everyone – it’s not just about being hyperactive; it can show up as hyper-focus, impulsivity, or difficulty with organisation. 💭 Small changes make a big impact – from flexible working styles to clearer communication, there are many ways to support neurodivergent colleagues. Alex’s personal journey was inspiring, and the conversation was a great reminder that embracing different perspectives and experiences makes us stronger. This session truly brought our ‘Free to Be Me’ value to life. Sky Betting & Gaming are Taking Every Minute Matters to the Next Level! At Flutter UK & Ireland, we’re so proud of the Sky Bet partnership with the British Heart Foundation and the incredible impact of the Every Minute Matters campaign.
