We’ve been working closely with our brilliant partners in destination to ensure we’re ready to provide brilliant holidays for our customers, and this week they’ve been welcomed with celebrations including treats and locally-produced gifts, and even a cake and flowers for the crew in Bodrum! 🍰 Over the coming weeks, more and more of our summer destinations will be opening up for a fantastic season when we’ll be taking millions of customers on holiday. We look forward to a successful summer with our hotel and DMC partners. 🧡

  • This week, we were thrilled to take our customers to Cape Verde for the first time, on the inaugural flight from London Gatwick ☀🌴   Sal in Cape Verde is a brand new destination, and is proving extremely popular with easyJet holidays customers. We’re thrilled to celebrate the start of this exciting journey with our fantastic hotel partners, and Destination Management Company Eco Viagens, delivering brilliant holidays for our customers.   We marked the occasion with giftbags for holidaymakers on departure, and customers were welcomed to the destination with traditional Cape Verdean entertainment. We can’t wait to see our holidaymakers enjoy this beautiful destination. 🎉

Inaugural flights are always exciting – but when it's to a tropical paradise, only a few hours away from the UK, with no jet lag, it perhaps sounds too good to be true. It’s not… welcome to Cape Verde. easyJet’s first flight to #Sal International Airport in #CapeVerde took off yesterday and our first ever sub-Saharan service, located off the West coast of Africa, is already proving popular for our package holiday customers. For those new to Cape Verde, here’s my top 6 reasons to get excited by our newest destination: ✔️ Pristine beaches and world-class water sports ✔️ Lovely year-round sunshine and temperatures around 25°C ✔️ No jet lag ✔️ Unique blend of African and Portuguese cultures ✔️ Only 6 hours from home (if home is the UK) ✔️ Volcanic landscapes and great hiking opportunities I really do think Cape Verde is a bit of a travel-hack, serving up a tropical paradise without having to incur the cost or strain of travelling all the way to the Caribbean. easyJet will fly every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the year, with package holidays available to a range of hotels. I can't wait to head there myself as soon as possible… #CapeVerde #TropicalParadise #easyJetholidays

  • Delighted to be part of easyJet's Southend base launch yesterday, which offers our holidaymakers the opportunity to explore 20 new holiday routes across Europe and North Africa. To mark the occasion, customers arriving to Southend airport were given the opportunity to enjoy some limited edition ice creams flavours synonymous with our most-loved destinations – including Spicy Tagine for a Moroccan twist, iconic Spanish Sangria and a controversial garlic-infused Escargot in tribute to Parisian cuisine. We can’t wait take many more customers travelling from Southend away this summer as we kick off our biggest season yet.

  • It was fantastic to be part of the #ABTAevents Sustainable Travel Conference yesterday, with our Chief Operating Officer, Matt Callaghan, joining the line-up of insightful speakers. ⭐ We’re committed to delivering our ESG strategy, Holiday Better, and making more sustainable holidays mainstream. A key part of this is sharing knowledge and progress with our industry peers, so the Sustainable Travel Conference was a brilliant opportunity to come together, and discuss how we can make a positive impact. 🌍 Thanks to ABTA Conferences and Events for another great day! 🧡

I was delighted to join ABTA’s Sustainable Travel Conference yesterday to deliver a keynote on ESG in the travel industry, and challenge some of the assumptions we often take for granted. We say “consumers want more sustainable holidays.” But in reality, price, convenience, and experience still win out. Real change won’t come from consumer behaviour alone. It has to come from how we lead; by making sustainability the default, not the upsell. We explored why Education, Collaboration, and Rapid Implementation must work together, and what happens when one is missing. I shared lessons from other sectors, like the rise of Fairtrade coffee in the UK, driven not by demand, but by business leadership. And, I was genuinely inspired by the Mayor of Dubrovnik’s efforts to protect culture, manage tourism, and put citizens first. Thanks to Mark, Susan, and the ABTA Conferences and Events team for the opportunity, and to everyone who joined the conversation. There’s no perfect path, but there is momentum. And, there is purpose. We should lead with both. #SustainableTravel #ESG #Leadership #PurposeDrivenBusiness #Tourism #TravelIndustry #easyjetholidays

“Brilliant holidays, creating memories that last a lifetime, for as many people as possible” I often wonder if a CEO could have a better challenge? I don’t think so and I know I’m incredibly lucky that my love of travel fits perfectly with my role. The American writer and academic Susan Sontag remarked- “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” A brilliant sentiment, that reflects the human impulse to explore. I think a holiday is so much more than just a trip, it has the power to bring joy, respite, rest, togetherness, learning, meaning and of course pure fun. Enabling people to enjoy, what is for many of us the highlight of our year, making memories that last a lifetime, really is a privilege. As easyJet holidays continues to grow, I’m ever more mindful of our increasing responsibility to support the future of the people and places that make our holidays so special. Our ESG strategy ‘Holiday Better’ is central to our business planning and today we are sharing our Impact Report which spotlights the company’s commitment to making more sustainable holidays mainstream. This is our first annual Impact Report and captures not only the positive impact we have made through our ESG initiatives but also the unwavering commitment of our team and our partners to support our customers to holiday better. A link to the full report is in the first comment below ⬇️ These are the three core goals that guide our approach: 🟠 Create Better Holiday Choices Working with hotel partners to achieve globally recognised sustainability certifications to ensure all customers can make better holidays choices at no extra cost. Almost 30% of our customers now stay in a certified property. 🟠 Keep Our Holidays Special Supporting locally owned businesses and communities, looking to maximise the benefits and minimise the negative impacts of travel and tourism. 🟠 Transform Travel for Everyone Embedding sustainability into business decisions and behaviours, driving meaningful change within the industry, prioritising working towards solutions to the biggest issues and asking better of themselves and partners in the supply chain. There’s much more to do be done but I’m pleased to share the progress we’ve made, together, in this report, and I’d like to thank those who are continuing to support our mission to make more sustainable holidays mainstream. #easyJetholidays #impactreport #transformtravel

  • We’re pleased to be headline sponsors of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism global Europe Responsible Tourism Awards 2025. We’re committed to having a positive impact on the people and places that make our holidays so special, and part of this is sharing knowledge and innovation across the travel industry. • We’re proud to collaborate with partners on projects which have a positive impact on the people and places that make our holidays so special. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with Conservation Collective, to support sustainable tourism projects in two of our popular holiday destinations. 🍃   Through the partnership, we’re excited to be supporting Menorca Preservation by working with 10 hotel partners to achieve a plastic-free certification, to tackle plastic waste in Menorca. We’ll also be working with the Cyclades Preservation Fund (CPF) in Santorini to raise awareness of the importance of Posidonia Oceanica, a species of seagrass which plays a vital role in marine biodiversity. 🌊🐠   We look forward to seeing the brilliant work from these partners to help drive real change, ensuring the destinations that make our holidays so special are preserved for years to come. 🗓
