Unmanned or autonomous underwater vehicles (UUVs/AUVs) offer a low impact, non-invasive and cost-effective solution to help the maritime sector achieve its net zero emission goals. 🌍 Dynautics has extensive experience with underwater vehicles, including our inhouse-designed Phantom, which was first designed for the US Navy and went from design concept to sea trials in just 100 days. Watch the video below to find out more. ▶️ 🟡 Phantom's modular design (https://lnkd.in/e9mzuqgF) uses proven autopilot technology and can be scaled for different payload requirements. ⚙️ 🟡 Using our AUV Simulator technology (https://lnkd.in/eZAxYyUr) we catalyse the development process and optimise vehicle efficiency. 🚀 If you are going to Ocean Business in two week's time, stop by stand W29 to see Phantom and discuss your underwater vehicle challenges! #drones #robotics #subsea #USV #UUV #AUV #marinetechnology

Preparations for the on water finals of #MAChallenge2025 continue, with more Dynautics kit being sent out to the three finalist teams, Heriot-Watt University, the University of Plymouth and Queen's University Belfast. 📦 🟨 Compact PCs that the teams will use to load up their software to control the mission by sending commands to our SPECTRE autopilot. 🟨 The SPECTRE autopilot module plus communications modules for networking and remote control. 🟨 A sensor package, containing a Raspberry Pi single-board computer, a camera, and a LIDAR - a form of radar that uses a single optical beam to detect the distance to obstacles ahead. The teams will continue to use Dynautics Ship Sim for testing and for the next challenge, which is to map a simulated pollution plume. 🌊 More info on SPECTRE: https://lnkd.in/eXuy2adV More info on Ship Sim: https://lnkd.in/e4yyJ4sN #marinetechnology #careers #engineering Society of Maritime Industries (SMI)
